Interview at 10:30 am - checked in at 10:15 and all was over and done with before 11:00 am! Questions from the I-485 were asked and she looked at some pictures and made a few copies. We gave her some bank statements, utility bills, and insurance information -- and that was basically all

Had my interview last Thursday and to say it was a breeze would be an understatement. The lady was lovely and it was basically a chat. She only really asked us how met and about the travelling back and forth. Alot of convo about teenagers (my daughter) and their musical "tastes" lol
I took quite a bit of evidence and she didn't even look at any of it. I was like "can you just look at something? Take something?!" she said I had so much in my file already there was no need. Finally, she gave in and said if you have wedding pictures I'll look at those (yay). So she looked at maybe two and complimented my dress and that was it.
Our appointment was for 10:15 (well, my daughter was 10:15 and I had 11:00). We got there at 9.35. At reception at 9.40 and out the door at 10.15.
They don't wear uniforms and it seems like you have the interview in their office. It was a pleasant experience.

Since this site has been a major source of information for me and all the amazing people on here have helped ease my stress and helped me figure things out, i wanted to share my experience of the Atlanta office for AOS from B2 visa.
First, we arrived early, as did a lot ofother people for our 8:45am appointment. The parking lot was pretty crowded already and i spotted 4 other cars with people waiting. I'm guessing that's because everyone was finishing up their starbucks coffee (from around the corner!), since no liquids are allowed into the building.
Husband and i tried to dress business casual, ie he wore khakis and a button down, but no tie or jacket. I wore a nice shirt and slacks with heels. I saw the whole range of outfits, from full on black tie suit, to jeans and tshirt, so i dont know if it matters. I figure, if you want a greencard, you should make an effort!
Anyway, we put our stuff through the xray, then walked around the corner to the left to t... read complete review

Our interview was at 7.15am. We arrived just a couple minutes before, there was a line of about 8 people in front of us. First we had to go through 'security' (xray machine) with the usual burly and unfriendly security folks, and show our IDs.
Then we went to a desk who checked our letters and IDs and syamped it and gave us a ticket print out with a number on, then told us to go upstairs.
After about 45 mins approx our number was called and we went into an office with an interviewer. She was ok, very poker face, slightly intimidating but not as scary as I had thought.
She asked very basic questions, wedding date, where do we work and live. That was about it. The only issue that arose was about my previous J1 visa, but that was rectified easily as I had all the appropriate paperwork etc.
She didnt ask any relationship or family questions, didnt even ask for wedding photos or evidence of us living together, she just flicked through the file she had to get our... read complete review
