My wife's interview was at 8:00am at the US consulate in Ho Chi Minh city. So we got there around 6 am, and it so happens that a freakin monsoon came in to greet us. So we waited about an hour in the rain. Then we waited another hour in a different line inside. Then we ended up navigating back through a checkpoint and waited in a another line for about 30 minutes, which was to process her paper work. We then waited for 3 hours until we were called up for my wife's interview. As we were waiting, we saw interviews happening in front of us. Some couples were leaving with joy since they passed, and some with blue slips, and family members crying. So the tension was getting to my wife, as i was relaxed, telling her to calm down. So when we got called up,I literally placed the luggage full of evidence on the window, with the interviewer smiling, to only tell me to sit back down away from the interview. 10 minutes later, my wife calls me back to the window to have the man telling us that her... read complete review

My Sofia's interview was exactly the same as Shenning's Na on the 26th.
Sofia showed up nearly 8:00 for 9:30 appointment. So many people ahead of her, but I assured her that it probably wouldn't matter if all the people showed up 12 hours early, they would still have others ahead of them due to their appointment time................maybe I was wrong!....Sofia was nearly the last to show up, and was the very last to be interviewed 5 til 12:00.
The young American girl officer asked about 15 questions (nothing unusual) over about 10-15 minutes.
Sofia said she could see the PINK slip sticking out of her file through the window even before she was asked any questions!
I guess it's true, they have already determined the outcome!....and for those of you who get convinced to bring so much evidence to the interview...well, they never asked to see anything Sofia brought just in case, so, there you have it!

Na arrived at the Consulate at 7:30 for a 9:30 appointment. They finally called her number at 11:30. They asked her about 18 questions in 15 minutes. Na said the lady that interviewed her was nice, there was also a Vietnamese Gentleman that translated when needed.
Na said the whole experience was good. She was stressed out of course..lol. She said they were very interested in my previous marriages. They kept calling me her husband instead of Fiancee', Na constantly corrected them.
Good luck to all! Thank you for your much needed and appreciated Support.
Peace and Blessings!
XO Na & Nam

After the RFE we recieved (Needed both of us to submit certified copies of where we had lived for the past 10 years - go figure) everthing else went very smooth. when Nhung went to the interview with the new paperwork, the lady looked through all the paperwork, did not ask her any questions and said you are approved.
