Took him less than 15 minutes after interview to be approved. They only really asked him how we met.

I got to the embassy 15 minutes before my appointment and joined the big line for the desk outside, which made me slightly late by the time I got to the front but that wasn't a problem. Handed DS - 160 and passport over and joined the line for the security check. Once through there I headed to the next building and jumped the queue straight to the reception there and they gave me my number sticker and told me to head to floor 1 and turn left and left to the immigration waiting room which was easy enough to find.

After security, I walked up to the main building, where I saw two lines. The lady who checked my passport and DS-160 told me to skip these two lines, so I did - and went straight to the front desk, and said I was here for a K1 visa (this felt very strange, but it indee... read complete review

Everything was very straightforward and the consulate officer was very direct but approachable about everything. My medical was late, but the officer explained why she had put my case into Administrative Processing (AP), and within 2 weeks, I had my K-1 Visa!
