I had my interview on the 10th of September 2020, I was so nervous and had read all the other reviews a million times so I'm hoping this review might help someone else!
Everything was so quick and all of the staff there were so lovely! They really made you feel relaxed and at ease (or at least as relaxed as is possible given the circumstances..). I arrived 30 minutes early for my 10.30 appointment and they let me through security straight away, you're also allowed to take in water as long as you have a little sip from it to prove it's nothing sinister. Then you go through a very heavy door and up to the main building. When I got there they told me I was too early and could wait in the gardens for 10 minutes or stay where I was, I chose to stay and had a nice chat with the staff. I'd hyped everything up in my head for so long and I couldn't believe how nonchalant everyone there was, I'm not sure if it's just because things are quiet at the moment with Covid, but I actually found ... read complete review

Interview for CR1 Spousal Visa on Thursday 10th September 2020. Incredibly smooth & everyone was very friendly. As many people say, it was much more of a conversation than formal interview (everyone in the London embassy was the friendliest I've ever seen them). It's hard to pin-point specifically what the Consulate Officer asked me because the conversation flowed very nicely between questions.
-How did you meet your spouse?
-What does your spouse do for work?
-What do you do for work?
-Where does your spouse work? (CO was familiar with LA but unfamiliar with Century City so we chatted about that & my previous internship experience in LA).
My key notes:
-In & out of embassy in 30 minutes. As everyone says, it really is the easiest part.
-Consulate Officer said passport will be with me in 1 week.
-🦠Masks are required in the embassy. The pre-interview officer asked me to... read complete review

I had my interview on Monday, August 24, 2020. I arrived at the embassy at around 8AM for a 9AM interview. I was coming outside of London so I wanted to leave earlier in case there were any delays with the trains. I made my way to the South Pavilion where someone checked my passport and DS 260. Then, I went through airport-like security screening. After security, you make your way to the main building. Someone at the reception looked at my DS 260 again and stuck a note on it with my interview number. Because I was there so early, I was told to wait in the courtyard there until 8:45AM.
Then I went to the 1st floor, turned left and left again to a small waiting area and waited for my number to be called. When I got upstairs, someone there told me to go wait on the right side, and I told him my appointment was for an immigrant visa, and then told me to go to the left. So make sure you let them know you’re immigrant visa if they tell you to go somewhere other than t... read complete review

5 minute interview - three or four questions. A couple were definitely trying to 'catch you out', but otherwise a pleasant experience.
