All that worry for nothing. It was easier than the medical! Answered a few simple questions and was on the pay phone to missus with the good news in no time.

The entire process was very painless and moved along quite smoothly. The only complaint I would make is when we went to our interview. We waiting approx 3.5 hrs total for what was about 5 minutes worth of conversation with an IO.

My Fiancee`'s experience:
With excitement and I guess a little paranoia of oversleeping I got up with the sun on the day of my interview. Did some double checking of paper work on my own and then involved my house mate in calling out required documents whilst I presented them and securely placed them in a document folder. I left home just after 7am, caught the train to London Waterloo and then took the Jubilee line to Bond street station. At the tube station I took the exit by cranberry and went up the stairs. Once you leave turn left out of the station and it is the 7th road to your left that takes you to Grosvenor square. I was a little early so I grabbed a soya latte from Starbucks. I arrived at the embassy at 8:20; my interview was scheduled for 8:30. I was greeted by a really big ‘bouncer’ looking guy that asked to see my passport and visa interview letter. I displayed both to him and was palmed off to another official that checked for electronic devices, asked... read complete review

My appointment was booked for 9pm but on the advise on this forum I arrived at 8:15. The letter said not to be any earlier than 30 minutes before your appointment but that didn't seem to bother them.
After going through the security checks, handing over my mobile and bag going through the X-Ray I was sent round the back of the building. I was given a ticket at reception with a number on and told to go into the main room and to wait for my number to be called, I was ticket 5004 so 5th in the queue. It is most definitely worth getting in as early as possible because an hour and a half later they were up to ticket number 5021.
After about 40 minutes (during which I looked around the room to spot the celebrity, I am afraid to say the best I could do was McFly and ashamed to say that I did in fact recognize them) my ticket number was called.
I was lucky enough to get a nice chap who made you feel at ease rather than the grumpy woman I keep rea... read complete review

My husband went in for the interview, he told me that they were right on time. It was much easier than he and I thought it would be. It was such a relief to know that it was passed.
