Interview was very easy. I was in the embassy for about three hours, but interviewed for under 10 minutes, with two questions; where did we meet, and why the US not the UK, and then approved. No need for all the evidence, but its sitll nice to have! I know its easy to say in hindsight, but try not to stress as it realy was a breeze!

Simple! Female consular officer interviewed him, asked three or four basic questions (how did you meet, how long have you known each other, etc.) and approved him! Friendly and efficient, about a ten minute interview.

Arriving before 9 for my 9am interview I joined the line and passed through security leaving my mobile in a plastic bag with them.
I was in & out in 2 hours. Everyone was really nice, my actual interview was like a friendly chat with a friend! Here are the questions with brief versions of the answers (I can talk!);
She asked how long we've been dating? 5 and a half, almost 6 years
She asked, where I met D? at a party in NYC
What was I doing in NY? Student
When did he propose? In November
Just gone, 2007? Yes, the official proposal with the ring....... & then I went into the long winded story that I won't bore you all with! She loved it and was laughing!
Then she told me I had been approved!! Yippeee....

Glen's interview was very easy. He spent a lot of time waiting, but as far as everything else, it went well. He brought all of the recommended paperwork, but they didn't look at most of it. He was asked a few questions, and that was about it. No worries!!

I caught the train to London and arrived in Grosvenor Square at 8am... far too early for my 9:30 appointment but better early than late. Started talking to a man who was also waiting for 9:30 (he was applying for a tourist visa), we queued together at just before 9am and the lady asked us if we had any electronic items, if we did she gave out a plastic bag to put them in. I said no and she didn't say anything more, just sent me on my way. As I was making my way forwards in the queue, I noticed that a lot of people had keys in the bags and began to worry that maybe she should have given me a bag anyway. As I got to the front of the first queue, the line stopped. We had no idea why, but it was 45 minutes before it started moving again. The second queue is for the metal detector. Took off my watch and put my keys in the plastic container the guy held out to me. Then I walked into the embassy.
I was given number 5016 as I walked in and was po... read complete review
