I arrived in the pi$$ing rain at 830am, interview was at 900am so I was there in plenty time. The queue wasn't too bas so no complaints there. The security staff gave me a plastic bag to put in any coins, wallet etc in. I passed through the gates and was given the number 5007.
I went up some steps on the left and sat on my butt looking around at other people( I know i'm sad haha) After about 40 mins my number was called and went to a box with a pleasent looking woman behind the screen. She took my documents and finger prints then handed me a slip to pay the visa fee. I came back showing that I paid and was told to sit down and wait for to be called for my interview.
After another 20 or so mins I was called again for the interview, I took a big deep breath and off I went. I was met with a very cheerfull female immigration officer. She gave me back my documents. I was asked a few simple questions eg-
Where did you meet your fiance?

My interview was on Friday 21st Nov 2008 9am.
I was travelling from Nottingham and decided to go down the day before. I booked the Marble Arch Inn online (double room with shower/toilet for £55).
Caught train to Kings Cross/St Pancras, then tube to Oxford Circus, then to Marble Arch, which opens onto Oxford Street. Very, very busy street! A simple walk to Upper Berkley Street for the Inn. Turn left out of Marble Arch Tube, bear left down the Edgeware Road, then left again for Upper Berkley Street.
Marble Arch Inn was friendly and basic. The sheets and room were clean. You get a telly and a mini kettle, Tetley tea bags, milk, cups, little fridge, clean towels. I have to say I had no sleep all night because of terrible noise coming from upstairs in the Inn. There was banging and really loud banging of windows every 10 minutes. I have no idea what was going on,but I was too stressed and exhausted to complain.
After I ha... read complete review

Very friendly staff ,the number of visa interviews was staggering, 18 for CR-1, 220 for other visas(KI K3 ) and a number of others. This shows how many must be going on all over the world and may help to explain the time it takes to go through the whole process so we have no complaints at all.Visa granted and received the next day.

I actually did not have that bad of an exeperience. I arrived at 8.30am and my appointment was at 9.20am but they let me in. I was about 6th in line and got seen in an hour. They did not ask me too many questions, just how did we meet? when is the wedding? very simple. I paid, had a few more documents I needed to submit and then left within 2 hours! Once I had collected the documents I needed I used their courier and got the visa back within a few days! Not bad really!!

So yesterday was the big interview day! ...and what a day it was! I got off the tube at Marble arch and walked down park lane. The embassy was really easy to find from there.
My appointment was at ten, but there was quite a long line of folk waiting to get in. So i joined the line at 9.15am and i was let into the embassy at 9.28am. The security guards where all super friendly. Its exactly like going through airport security. I then followed the path round to some stairs which led me to reception. Behind the desk was a helpful guy who gave me a ticket number and explained where to go. I was number 5016 and there was 7 people infront of me waiting. When i got to the waiting room i was surprised as to how big it was. the seats where all arranged and facing towards the big tv screens with with everyones ticket numbers on them. when someone would be called, it would come up on that screen 'ticket number 5016 to booth 8'. i took a seat and within half an hour i was called to ... read complete review
