I recently had a interview for my K1 visa that my fiancee had filed for .The embassy is only a 8 minute walk from Vauxaul station .When i got to the Embassy i had to join a que to check in first ,you reqiure your D.S 160 form & passport for this .Once checked in their is another line that takes you through a airport style security proccess ,Once through security it is straight through to the main building ,once in the main building there is a reception desk & the friendly staff give you a number & tell you where abouts you need to go .I had to take the lift to level 1 where there is another reception desk where the friendly staff once again direct you to the correct area . Once in the area i needed to be i took a seat & only waited about 10 minutes before my number came up to say which booth i had to go to ,the friendly guy asked me for variouse documents which i handed over ,when he had all he needed he asked me to take a seat & wait for my number to come up .About 10 minutes later m... read complete review

So my fiance had her interview yesterday and I'm happy to say she was approved and will be soon traveling here! Having gone through a lot of research over the last month for the interview phase I just wanted to share a few suggestions that might help others when you get to this point.

To attend the medical interview you need to show an appointment letter so you need to make sure that you make an appointment probably 2 weeks out in order to have time to schedule the exam. It took us about a week of looking almost constantly until my fiance found an appointment that was timed perfect to allow time for the medical before. I can't remember what day of the w... read complete review

Did have to wait outside for a while, but it didn't take too long and people were pretty nice.

I feel as though the whole interview process was a lot less scary than I had told myself. The Embassy, itself, is easy to get to if you're travelling by public transport, and the entry process isn't too daunting either.
You do, however, have to wait outside whilst someone checks over your appointment letter and ID, which isn't the best when it's raining.

I'll just add that prior to your interview, you receive an email from the embassy with details on what to expect, the location, required documents and the security measurements. I would also like to emphasise that it's VITAL you bring every single piece of paperwork/evidence you can think of because it's not always listed on goverment websites/checklists.

One thing I did notice about my experience was the very friendly staff. The procedure is like an airport but the people are chatty and welcoming.

From the journey to the actual interview, for me, everything went smoothly. However... ... read complete review
