Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

I had my interview at 9am today at the US London Embassy. It was a quick 10 minute walk from the Travellodge in Vauxhall for anyone who is looking to stay near the embassy. I had a bit of time to walk along the Thames and enjoy the morning views!

My experience is as described as many others before me in getting into the embassy. Very swift, organised and with directions from Embassy workers.

I waited about 10 minutes for my number to be called, I had my original documents checked at the booth:

- birth certificate
- husbands divorce certificate
- police certificate
- passport
- x1 US passport photo of me

Questions:
- when do you plan on going to the US?
- any other marriages?

I asked the agent if she would like copies but she said it was not needed. Everything is digital now. She told me my medical had been received, took my finger prints. She was super friendly... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Attended my IR1 visa interview today 13th January 2022 at US Embassy in London.

Took the tube to Nine Elms station, and the walk from new station to the embassy is newly paved and well lit. It does not currently appear on google street view, but google will direct you through the new walkway; it made getting to the embassy super quick.

I arrived early, 7:45am for a 9am appointment, I got a coffee at ‘District’ coffee shop not too far from the south pavilion. There was a huge queue at the south pavilion visa entrance when I initially walked past but when I went back at 8:15 it had died down. The person at the kiosk outside looked over my DS260 and passport, signed it and checked me in, and asked me to wait at the side till 8:30 to go in. I waited and as 8:30 approached she called me out and asked me to join the queue for the entrance.

Before going in, the guard asked me to unlock my phone and open an app, which I did and was a... read complete review

Total time from initial submission to interview 8 months 26 days.
NVC Notification Nov28. Transferred to London Dec7.
Interview date letter Dec 14 for a Jan 11 interview.
Struggled to get medical scheduled on Dec 22 which was the latest date the medical folks said we could do. Wife landed in the USA for Xmas on 13 Dec and literally turned around and flew back to London for medical. Not complaining, we just expected it to take longer and weren't expecting interview until late Feb. Clearly, we were quite happy to get an early date.

Entry to embassy was same as described by others. Efficient, friendly, streamlined process as described in other posts. Our supporting document file was 600 plus pages long in a 4 inch binder. My spouse was asked for the interview letter, police forms, Ds-260 confirmation, birth certificate, divorce decrees from previous marriage for both of us. Not too long after that, she was called to a window for interview... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

Had my K-1 Visa Interview today (January 6th 2022) at the US Embassy in London, UK.

Took the tube to Nine Elms Station - there are several places to get food, including Starbucks and Sainsbury's if you are arriving early and are worried about getting some food & drink inside you before you head to the Embassy. The Embassy is only several minutes walk from Nine Elms.

I arrived at the Embassy 20 minutes before my appointment time and was advised I could go ahead. I handed my Passport and the printed appointment confirmation through a window on the outside of the building which was checked and signed by an Embassy employee. I then went to the entrance and a guard came out and asked me to unlock my phone and open any app - once I had done so I was admitted into the building and went through security similar to the airport. From there, I headed over to the main building and was greeted at the main desk. They asked to see my sig... read complete review
