I’m writing this review because I found reading through all previous UK consulate reviews so helpful. It helped me feel much more comfortable knowing what to expect prior to my interview.
Interview: Monday 9 May 2022 at 9.30am
Medical: Friday 6 May 2022
I arrived at 8.30am to scout out the area. There were 2 long queues outside the South Pavilion entrance: 1) check in desk, 2) security queue. I heard the lady at the check in desk turn someone away as they were too early for their appointment so I went to grab a coffee.
When I returned 30mins later, the security line had gotten even longer. I checked in at the kiosk at 9am (providing my DS-260 confirmation and passport). I was told that as I was immigration, I should skip the security queue and tell the security man that I’m Immigration.
As many people have already mentioned, they ask you to unlock your phone and open an app. You then go through airport sty... read complete review

This was a crazy experience. Got there an hour prior to appointment and there was a line waiting. Once someone checking people in realized he was there for an immigrant interview they jumped him to the front of the line, saying "when you get in there, don't stand in the line" -- but that was pretty impossible as it was just one great big line and no one giving direction.
NVC seemed to have made some sort of screw up with renaming our documents so that several were custom labeled as "first marriage final divorce decree" but on documents that had nothing to do with divorce -- like the picture page of his passport and our marriage certificate. No surprise the agents couldn't find the right documents. The originals were in hand but I don't know why they want you to bring them as they don't want them. The interview went forward but was literally standing at a counter as if he was renewing a drivers license. The IO asked a couple of basic questions and then claimed ... read complete review

In the interview my husband was asked one question - how he met his wife.
A medical appointment was not available until the week after the interview. Was told everything was fine and would be Rejected until the medical results came in. Received a green sheet with that information. Was not told to email after the medical was done.
Confirmed with medical that it was sent to Embassy. Waited 2 weeks and emailed embassy with the "Contact Us" link and told they would be in touch if more information was needed. Waited another week and emailed again. Received standard email that would not respond if information was on the website or they had prevoiusly answered.
At 4 weeks after the medical was submitted, found the email on the green sheet and emailed. Case went into Admistrative Review that day. Following day, Visa was Issued.
Had we known to email after the medical the visa could have been issued 3-4 weeks sooner.

I had my interview at the U.S embassy in London yesterday and wanted to write a review for anyone who has an upcoming interview.
My appointment was at 10am and I got to the embassy for 9:45am. As I approached the embassy, I saw a very long queue going out of the door, I was about to join this queue until I asked a very helpful lady in front of me what the queue was for, she told me that the queue was for US citizens only and directed me to the right place. I walked a little further and saw a lady stood at a desk, I gave her my passport and DS260. She stuck a ticket number on my DS260 and told me to go through security. Before going through security, I was asked to unlock my phone and open any app on my phone.
As noted in previous reviews, the security is like airport-style security. Your bag goes through a scanner and you walk through detectors. I had a bottle of perfume in my bag which was over 30ml and had to throw this away I also ha... read complete review

My fiancé had his interview today and we were approved!! 🥰🥰 the person didn’t say exactly approved but he kept my fiancés passport and said he would receive it shortly after he puts something in it.
They literally asked him 4-5 simple questions. It was a smooth process and we were both overthinking but we had everything ready and they were even joking with my fiancé lol. They had all our evidence from the original packet and seemed overwhelmed after looking at it haha.
Moral of the story is don’t overthink, just have all your documents ready!
