I woke up at 2am on July 31, 2011. Took a cab going to US Embassy Abu Dhabi at 5am. Reached in the USEM at 6:13am, more than an hour before my interview at 8am. At 7:45am, security guard checked the passport and appointment letter. After 5minutes another security checked again the passport and appointment letter and advised to go the entrance door. Undergone the security checks.Felt like I was in the airport. Then, went through the office. The security guard gave me a number 002 (duplicate copy). When my number flashed in window 10, an Arabic lady took all my documents with a very strict face. She took all the filled forms. Of all the supporting documents I brought, she only asked me the tax transcripts (2007 to 2010) and one passport photo. The following documents were taken:
1) DS-156
2) DS-156K
3) DS-157
4) DS-230 with additional sheet
5) I-134
6) Tax Transcripts (2007 to 2010)
7) One passport photo
8) Payment AED 810

I am writing on behalf of my fiancee(the beneficiary)

On Feb 14, 2011 I received a text message stating the 129F form was approved. In approximately two weeks, I received the NOA2 hard copy and packets 3 & packet 4 by email with interview date April 14, 2011.

The packet 3 & 4 had all the information we needed including which hospitals to use for the medical, all the fees that we needed to pay, and the interview date. We dd not have to call to make an schedule for the interview. The consulate did it for her.

The below are the documents the consulate asked from us:
Complete forms:
1. DS-230 (2 copies)
2. DS-156 online, (2 copies)
3. DS-156K, (Do not sign)(2 copies)
4. DS-157K (2 copies)

Docs require from the petitioner:
1. Affidavit of support/Evidence of support
(Bank statement, latest tax, and a letter from employee.)... read complete review

Hello All
I had attended the IR1 interview at Abu dhabi on 26th July 2010.My interview experience is as below
I had reached the US EMBASSY, ABU DHABI around 07.30 am. There were around 5 people who were sitting there waiting for their turn. We were called in at around 07.40am and first the security check ups done and told us to give all bags and mobiles at the security point.

Once the security is done they let us to move in to the main building which is in a triangle shape. Once we entered in the room we found that it is a small hall where hardly 30 people can sit together. On one side we can see counters for interview. Soon we entered we were given tickets for our turn.

At first I was called by counter 8 to give our interview letter and medical reports and the docs asked by the NVC by some staff definitely he is an Indian. Then I was told to wait till my turn. There were families whom they called first. Minimum time for interview i... read complete review
