Interview was quick and easy... interviewer asked for no evidence of relationship, only requestedthe DS forms and the I134 and supporting info. She asked my fiance the following: how many siblings i had, what they do and same for my parents. She said ok, looks good. Pick your visa up at the location you choose in 4 days.

This is to give hope to all of you that have upcoming interviews even if you are from one of the MENA Countries (Usually Middle-East/Arabic Countries. This is the experience of my husband.
His interview was scheduled for April 29th, 2013 at 8:00 at the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi. He arrived at about 7:30 to a people waiting outside the consulate. At about 7:50 they let the people enter after looking at their interview appointment sheet. He has to leave his phone at security desk, was given a token for later retrieval and proceeded into the embassy. He was directed by a worker to take a ticket and sit and wait to be called. He took the ticket and went to sit about 10 minutes. His number was called and he went up to speak with an officer from India he believes and she briefly looked at his documents/file took it and made some copies of the information that had been sent by the NVC. We had the entire file that was sent just in case they has misplaced some information. She gi... read complete review

I had my interview last week. Since, many people have done a thorough job documenting the required documents etc I'll just give my experience.
I left Dubai at 5:30am via taxi. The Abu Dhabi embassy is difficult to find if you're living in Abu Dhabi, so I'd recommend either getting their the night before or getting to Abu Dhabi and then taking an Abu Dhabi taxi to the embassy.
Arrive at the embassy around 7:15am, I was maybe 15th in line - they make us wait on benches. You have to check any any bags, mobiles and keys at security.
Once inside the process was quite smooth. One lady asked for my documents (originals of the police certificates and visa forms, copies of the rest). I was interviewed by a white American guy, quite professional guy. Since I had been to the US before, he was asking more about my history in America (student, visits etc). He did ask how much cash I had in the bank. Overall a good experience and I was out by 10am. ... read complete review

I got my K1 Visa Approved yesterday.. Feb. 20, 2013 at U.S. Embassy Abu Dhabi. After the interview, me and my friend went straight to St. Joseph Church, to tell HIM how thankful i'am for His Graces, Guidance and Help.
Here is what happened.
I was in the Embassy 6:40AM. After the security checking i was given 005 number.
The lady from counter 09 was the one who got all my papers/documents. She immediately told me, to give her all the duplicate copies only, don't give her any original copies. So I did. After gathering all the papers, i was asked to pay for the fees in counter no. 1. then I went back to counter 09 to give her the receipt. She then instructed me to go to last counter for Biometrics.
After the Finger print, I sat down to wait for the next step.
After few minutes, The lady guard approached me to go to window number 4, the consul was a pretty, kinda strict woman, wearing prescription glasses. She was keenly scrutinizing all ... read complete review

My fiance went early from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, luckily she was the first in line. She waited on the non immigrant line, however she was told to stand in the immigrant line. There was not a lot of people but people started pouring in by 7.30 am.
After the security check, the guard reviewed the letter and the passport and then my fiance went inside. Once inside at the counter, they gave her a ticket and asked for what kind of visa and then she was given a number.
After waiting, her number was called and then she proceeded to an a lady, who was a bit rude. After that she asked for all the original forms and copies of all documents(Please see below review for the right documents as we followed that order). For my fiance, they asked for the originals and copies separately, however she put all of them together and she gave one by one. So after sorting out the documents, she gave back my fiance her passport and told her to go to the cashier to pay the fee. Since ... read complete review
