I (Petitioner) traveled to Abu Dhabi to be with my fiancee during the interview process. The interview was scheduled for 8AM on Thursday, April 28th. We arrived at the embassy around 6:45am and found a lot of people already waiting in line. There were two lines: Immigrant visa and Non-Immigrant visa.

The security guard instructed some ladies that big purses were not allowed inside, so some had to go put it in their cars. At 7:30am, they called all the immigrant visa cases, we went to the window and submitted our appointment letter. I was not allowed in (expected).

My fiancee later said that she went inside, took a number and waited for some time. When her number was called, she came up to the window, submitted all the documents (Passport, DS-156K, Medical, Police reports, Affidavit of Support) and fingerprints. The gentleman asked for visa fee (which we paid online upon scheduling appointment). My fiancee showed him the receipt (MAKE SURE TO BRING PROOF OF... read complete review

The long awaited interview has finally come! This was a Monday. My fiancé drove down from Dubai, arriving at 6:20 am. There were 8-10 people in line already. There were two lines: immigrant and non-immigrant. Eventually she was moved in to the non-immigrant line. She left her purse in the car, only walking in with her documents, wallet and phones. All phones were turned off and held at the guard desk. She entered around 7:20.

When she entered she was asked to take an oath, give fingerprints and had her documents collected. They asked if she paid the fee. She did online and the person asked for the receipt. She didn't bring it with her! He said she would have to pay again and she held her ground and said no. He was joking with her. Not funny at all. He let her through. **If you pay online make sure you bring your receipt.**

She waited, and waited and waited. She sat for nearly 4 hours before being called. She said that it seemed they would call people in ... read complete review

The interview 16.Mar.2016

Well, as the others said regarding the first and second windows, same questions, security check.. etc.

In general, all the staff are nice in the embassy, including the security guards.

Now golden call for the main interview in window 12

A young gentleman, he was so polite and with welcome face.

The questions, which all of you are waiting for

- how long you have been here in UAE
- what year you got married
- where do you live
- what do you work
- where your wife live ?

All the time he was writing data in computer with smile, and looking in the documents as well.

In the end he gave me back my passport with blue sheet.
he marked 2 things and asked me to provide it to complete the documents
-- the AOS requires proof of US citizen or permanent residence, my wife sister was our sponsor, and she ... read complete review
