Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Ive posted this review in the CR1/IR1 forum but not in the embassy review. So here you go guys, my experience at the USEM Abu Dhabi dated Dec.13, 2015. I Went to line up at 6:30am. There were 2 lines, one for immigrant visas, the other one for non-immigrant visas. There were already around 20 people in line. We were told to get our appointment letters and passports ready. By 7:45 they let us enter the doors for an airport-style security check, bags were not allowed, mobile phones were turned off and surrendered to the security where they gave me ticket number to collect it afterwards. After the security check, we were ask to go and wait inside a room. At exactly 8am, we we told to go through another door, to a walkway, into another room. Before entering that room, there was another security check, they checked my passport and appointment letter, gave me the number of 610. It was not very big, seats maximum of 150. Gave me a feeling of being inside a bank, albeit a smaller one. After th... read complete review

Hello everyone! Our long awaited journey has finally come to an end and I am sure all of yours will come to a positive end as well.

My husbands interview was October 6th. He went it did his biometrocs etc. Was called for the window 12 and was asked questions by the CO. he asked him 2 questions only and didnt look at any proof we sent.

He asked: How long have you been in Abu Dhabi?
And where is your wife?

I am living with my husband currently and they were concerned about my domicile and asked to provide proof of HOW i intend to reestablish my domicile so he gave my husband a 221g temporary denial until we can prove my domicle and i also filled out the wrong i864. I filled out i864a it should have been i864.
My husband asked if he can give him an example of how to show domicle. The CO said for example a job offer letter, or emails with daycares on how you plan on enrolling your daughter.

On october 11th my hus... read complete review

My interview was at 8 am. Went to the embassy at 6:15 and I thought i was the
first in line lol but to my surprise there were four people ahead of me already.

They opened the gate at 7:30 AM.

Step1: they will check passport, interview confirmation and ds160.
They will let you inside the USEM and check your things.
No bags allowed. mobile phones are accepted only at the security baggage counter.

Step2: give your number to be called for collecting the interview list of documents

Step3: finger prints

Step 1-3 will take about 1-2 hours wait time.

Step 4: Interview 1-1 in a closed door room with CO

Questions asked to me:
1- How long have you been in UAE
2. Whats your job and company?
3. When and how did you meet your fiance?
4. How long did he stay on his second visit to you?
5. What are your marriage plans?

then he ... read complete review

Interview was on Aug 29. My fiancé went to the embassy at 7:30AM & there were 8 people that were already there waiting. He spent 3 hours there but the interview took less than 10min. Just make sure you have all required doc and you should be fine. Most of the questions were about how we met and out ongoing relationship. He got approved & visa was issued in 6 days.
