Very nice and friendly people helping us and answering questions we had. Very easy and relaxing. Went through security, then got a number and went to window and turned in paper. She turned in paper and I paid. Then we waited about hour and half. Then our turn. He asked about 5 questions. Where I worked, how big of a wedding, if I had animals, and about her sister since she is US Legal. More of a relaxing day even though man in front of us was told he can't get another US visa for 10 years because he did something illegal. We were approved so we are doing the happy dance.

God is good, we've finally got our visas! Tickets are bought and wedding date is set. We're planning our honeymoon, but not sure I can leave the U.S. until my status adjustment.

Everything went smoothly except when the interviewer asked what your fiancee's hobbies were. She just said I worked mostly and that we had been bowling in Kiev. Just something for others to think about.

Our interview was set for 1-31 at 8:00 AM. We stood out in subzero weather for over 3o minutes to go throug security. Then we were given another number.vwe met with a clerk for the interviewer. Then we were told to sit for 20 minutes. 2.5 hours later we were called to the window. The interviewer seemed very rude and asked my wife a series of questions on why her student visa was denied. He then asked her to set down and spoke with me. He asked questions on how we met. Where we were married. "Did you know she worked in other countries?" I told him I have visited my wife over 6 times in the last 3 years and did he want to see my passport again. He then called her back to the line and told her they would mail her visa. I understand he has a job to do, but I am a US Citizen. I deserve to be spoke to with the same respect I showed him.

Prior to the interview I had several questions about some of the documents required and what Alla actually had along with some conflicting information from the check list and their website. I emailed the Public Liaison Unit, Consular Section and they returned my emails in 24 hours and were very helpful to me, actually giving me answers to questions.
Alla’s appointment was at 9:30 AM and she arrived very early, at 8:30 AM and there was a long line to get in. At about () there were about 40 people still in line, she approached a guard and asked about the length of time it would take her to get in. He inquired as to the type of visa she had the interview for and her appointment time, after telling him, she was let inside.
Once inside the guards teased her by asking if she had anything in her pockets, when she said no they told her with the amount of papers she had, it would have been even funnier to them if she had anything else with her. I provided her w... read complete review
