I, as the petitioner, accompanied my fiancee for the 8:30am appointment. You are no longer allowed to bring cell phones, or pretty much anything but your documents (see instructions for interview), however there is a pharmacy up the street with lockers. It is located at #1 on the same street as the Embassy (which is #4). You can store personal items there for 40 hryvnas.
At the Embassy, there is a mass of people (not exactly a line), but not all will have same interview time. You are able to "cut" ahead of those with later interview times, and you should listen to the officers as they call out for any others with your appointment time, you can jump ahead in line at that time.

Hi everyone! Hopefully you are all doing great with the visa stuff. So I can finally share my experience with all of you! I wanted to say in regards to the Kiev Embassy, well.... I can say there was nothing to be scared of! If you have all your documents in order with you, then be confident everything will be ok. Just don't forget that you are telling the truth (I believe you do!) and there is nothing bad that will happen to you! I was very worried before the interview (probably like everyone else was , but then I was fine after my fiancé called me and gave great support to me! So always remember that you are not alone - it helps a lot!
As for the details of the interview I can say next: 1)keep all your documents in order in one simple folder for the papers 2) make the interview appointment in the morning ( mine was in the 8:30) if it is possible. It's always better to be there at the first part of the day when people in the embassy are friendly and no... read complete review

Cannot add much new. My experience was very positive. Friendly and high professional staff, the process is pretty straightforward if all your papers are well organized.
