I read a lot of reviews on the forum, where they write about the wonderful impression of the interview and the consul. Where everything is extremely friendly and very positive.
I did not like . We were the last when all applicants for immigrant visas have already been released - this is about 3 hours of waiting. Considering that it is forbidden to bring water and food to the territory of the consulate, this is long enough, especially for children. There was not even a cooler with water. In any case, in the public domain.
In the window where I applied, they asked for all the evidence of the relationship that I have. Many wrote on the forums that they did not ask for anything and looked at the photos if the applicants themselves offered. And then at the interview of the woman — the middle-aged consul literally interrogated me — when and for how many days my husband flew to us, how many days after the wedding he flew away and, most importantly, why we got marri... read complete review

8 a.m time given, but not strict about it. Very polite, only 2 persons for K1, rest about 25 for travel visas. Interview itself took only about 15 minutes. First you hand in all your papers, waited about half hour to be called. Only question we stumbled a little is he asked my fiancee as to when I asked her to marry her and she said she didn't remember !! I was allowed to be with her and I intervened and said we are an older couple and just got comfortable with each other. There is a van ouside for leaving your stuff, seems safe enough. Security not very tight, allowed to take my water inside.

From Kiev, Ukraine, US Embassy. Cannot find US Consulate in drop down.
Very smooth interview. Appointment at 8 a.m, but is not strict you can be late it is ok. IN cold weather better to be late so don't wait outside. I think we were only ones for K1 visa. My fiancee handed in documents first. She had made appointment by telephone so they did not have her name on list to enter, but lady was very nice, went inside checked and came back and let us in. Not great security. Let me take in water. We left out things outside with storage facility for 100 UAH.
Interview was very cursory, how we met, does she speak any English, has she visited USA. It was ok for me to be at the window with her. I did not go first, then my fiancee told him I was here and he said it is ok for me to come also. Only funny thing was he asked my fiancee when I asked her to marry me and she said she didn't remember.). We are an older couple and I said well, we have lived together... read complete review

The interview itself went quickly. First, we submitted all the documents and went on waiting for the consule to start doing the interviews. But in between the workers left their places to have a meeting, which lasted for about 30 minutes, so the interviews only started at about 9 (I entered the embassy at 8). I was the first one. The lady asked me some basic questions like:
1. What's the purpose of your visit to the embassy?
2. What's the name of your fiance?
3. How did you meet? How did your relationships progress?
4. What does he do?
5. Why wasn't he married before?
Then she returned all my docs and said my visa was approved. I got it from the delivery company on Wednesday (my interview was on Friday).
Warning: it seems that those storage vans do not work on Fridays, so think about where to leave your phones and car keys.
Good luck to everyone!
