All in all, a good experience.
Appointment was 0930. Spent about two hours total in the embassy. The interview itself was short. Four questions. Were you in the US before, how did you meet, when was your fiance here last, are you aware he was previously married. Done. Pink slip; approved. 
A comment was made that our paperwork was filled out and organized better than some submitted by lawyers.

Overall the experience was quite good. I came to Ukraine to be with Natasha at her interview and I was freaked about sending my evidences and financial support stuff through the mail. That and I think it helps that you are there. I could be wrong. Our appointment was at 9:30 AM. We got there about 9:00 AM and went down the street to the ProCredit Bank and paid the fees. We got done there and waited in the lobby for a few minutes because we did not want to wait outside in the cold and rain to get in for our appointment.
So we entered the security doors and they did not like my backpack   , so we had to walk across the street and give them my bag. They locked it in the cabinet and gave us a yellow plastic ticket. This is a horror story and kind of long. We received our appt letter on May 12th for an appt on June 10th at 8am. Our case is very unusual. My husband and I were married in the States over 2 years ago. When we filed for adjustment of status in the states we found out he was subject to the 2 year foreign residency requirement (section 212e) because he came as an exchange student to the states for one month 11 years before. So in order to complete the adjustment of status he would need to complete 2 years abroad in his home country. Forturnately he was home for 15 months before returning to study at a university, so ONLY 9 months to complete.
My husband was born in Ukraine but has Russian citizenship since he was living in Siberia when he was 16.
Somehow are appt was in Kiev, so we show up, we are the first ones back to the immigrant visa section and had to turn the lights on for Igor. He sees my husband is russian and asks why he is in Kiev (only speaking Russian)... read complete review

The interview lasted about 3 minutes. 2 or 3 questions were asked. How and where did we meet?? and When is the wedding????? Documents were verified and that was it.
