Just wanted to let you know that once NVC schedules an appointment it is very easy to re-schedule it with Kiev consulte, mine was scheduled for March 24th and we were able to reschedule it for March 10th: you need to call the immigration dept in US embassy in Kiev to cancel the current NVC app. and then call the call center the schedule a new one. Two things to watch out for: first make sure your paperwork actually arrived to the embassy from NVC It took NVC 2 weeks to get our paperwork delivered), also I called the cl;l center forst to see what dates they have open prior to cancelling my NVC app. Overall it was pretty easy to do.

Overall it was time consuming appointment was at 9:30am was there a half hour early, and was told to wait till 9:25. At 9:25 told us 5 more minutes that was okay but when 9:30 arrived so did another k-1 couple and they prceseesed them in before us so we ended up being last one to have interview done. Everything from paperwork to finger print scans was finished in about 45 minutes finally had interview at 11:20 went back to the window with Nadiia and her son Anton. I was told thank you for coming to the interview and she meantioned about my sweater told her Nadiia made it for me and wanted to see my passport, then I went back to waiting room, Anton came out to waiting room a couple minutes later. Nadiia came out within 3 minutes. She meantioned the lady said that there was enough proof of ongoing relationship, and meationed to Nadiia about my sweater and how nice it was, no questions at all. Overall was extremely happy with embassy other then outside personnel that need to allow people ... read complete review

Was pretty much a ditto of all of the other reviews I've read about the Kyiv consulate--quick and painless. We were scared slightly when the person that initially took Lena's and her daugther's documents noticed and pointed out to us that the doctor whom had done the medical exams had checked an incorrect box on her daugther's form and had then scratched thru that and checked the correct box. She said the officer who would do the interview might possibly refuse to accept the exam report due to that and that her daugther would then have to redo the medical exam. Luckily this didn't happen, so all turned out well.

I flew to Kiev on the 26th of Jan to be with my fiancee on the interview. Our Interview time was for 9:30am. We were about to be late because of the heavy traffic in Kiev that day. It seemed to be the coldest day in Kiev. When we arrived there was a big line at the gate. We showed our paper with appointment time and our passports. we were wellcomed inside. Everyone was very nice and helpful. We brought about a kilo of our papers The dark haired lady that took our papers was nice and talkative. As we were the last who handed our papers we had to wait for 2 hours to be interviewed. They called us for the interviewat about 12pm. They just asked mu fiancee to answer one question she had forgotten to answer on the form. When she checked the answer and signed the answer we saw a PINK CARD !!! in the hand of the consular officer. The next step was just to pay for the delivery of the visa!! ... read complete review
