Staff at the Embassy were efficient and friendly. I attended the interview with Anna. Everything was good. After the interview she was advised approved contingent upon passing the TB sputum exam.

Had interview scheduled for 8:30 am. I came together with my fiancee. We arrived at the embassy at 8:05 am. A nice gentleman checked our passports and scanned the visa appointment confirmation, and told us to wait in line to go in.
The line moved pretty quickly, about 10 minutes later we went in to security. Pretty much standard stuff, take everything out of pockets, put in small boxes, go through metal detector. Then another person uses a hand-held metal detector that's more sensitive to scan your whole body (it detected my watch for example that the regular metal detector didn't). They will take away anything that they don't want to let in (like your cell phone, also took away my Pebble watch) and store it for you until you exit. I don't know if they'll store anything large, but for small things they do store it.
Then you go on in to the main building. The person right at the entrance gives you a number and tells you to go sit and wait for your number to... read complete review

Had embassy interview today. Went very easy. They ask where she would live in USA. Did I (USC) own or rent my home. What was my(USC) daughter name. How long my daughter live with me. What kind of work I(USC) did. They ask my Fiance daughter if she ever meet me, and what she thought of me. They ask fiancé if she spoke English. They were interested in our Skype logs. Fiance tell me that another couple got denied because they could not prove that they could communicate to each other. They told girl to bring in Skype records.
They took her 156, and 156K, but gave her back her DS-230.

My fiancée was approved on her interview but failed her medical test, recently the CDC has ordered much more stringent testing for TB. Out of 7 people that day that were tested 4 were sent for further testing. I agree this is a good idea so not to spread disease BUT we can land space ships on mars and it still takes 8 weeks for this test ? We have waited now almost a year for our visa and approval this last 8 weeks are the worst. If you are in Ukraine waiting for a visa or interview maybe a good idea to be tested early, just saying

As recounted to me by my fiancee...
Arrived right at 7 at the embassy. Was the first in line. Had a young girl (<25) interview her. Asked a few basic questions about my work, if I was married before, etc. Asked one trick question about "family planning." She answered very well, and the rep told her the visa was opened.
When she called me afterwards, she couldn't get the words out fast enough! We're both super happy. javascript:emoticon('')
