Nat went to her medical on Monday February 3rd at 9am and the procedure was less than an hour. She waited around and received the passing results by 3pm that afternoon. The medical facility isn't even close to the standards in the USA, long lines, the doctors don't smile, and the patients are treated by number rather than name.
The following morning at 7:45am she attended her interview at the American Embassy. After she handed in her paperwork, she immediately met a young person who asked her two questions, how she met me and how many times we met. She was told she would receive her visa in the mail within a week. Interview time: Less than five minutes!
The staff at the US Embassy were extremely professional and helpful. Nat mis-spelled her name on the interview application (in conjunction with her birth certificate, I VS Y) and yet the personnel allowed her to log onto a computer at the embassy, fix the error and reprint it. I'm not saying to expect this... read complete review

Olena's appointment was at 7:45AM. Very early, but recommended as she was the first interview. The wait was a little unnerving due to the ant-American protesters that had covered the front of the Consulate with eggs the night before.... No phones or personal property allowed, only documents. The process of the interview took 20 minutes total. We did our research and made sure she had the proper documents and they were in order so no difficulties. She said the Consulate staff was very friendly and accommodating. A LOT of WORRY about the interview was completely unnecessary! Just have the proper documents and the answers of how you met, travels to Ukraine and some photos and documents to prove what you say and NO WORRIES! She and her son were given congratulations and the passport with a visa is in the mail )))))))

Appointment was at 8:30 a.m., and my fiance was there at 8. She handed off all of her documentation, which was taken to a consulate officer. At 8:30 she was called back, and asked 3 questions (who is your sponsor, where did you meet, how many times has he been to the Ukraine). Took about 10 minutes, and he said congratulations! Your Visa will be to you in about a week.

Interview process at the US Embassy in Kiev went smoothly. An Embassy support employee took all the information I had brought with me and asked a few questions. The interview with the Consular lasted about 5 minutes. I can only assume they previously review the applications, and have already made their decision prior to the interviews. If the Embassy Consular has some concerns/questions about the applicant, I think the interviews last longer and are more in depth. The entire process at the Embassy lasted less than an hour and a half. I will receive my Visa by Tuesday!!!

I read most review are positive to the embassy but our experience was bad.
The interviewer spoke very poor Russian, could not understand him. His English was not any better. Could not hear or understand him. Had to ask him to repeat every question. He had an attitude toward my finance. He asked 5 or 6 questions and the last question was why she picks Americans for petition. She did not understand what he was asking. She does not pick the men and ask to file a petition. He left and came back and gave her passport back. The facking A-hole is discriminating against Americans wanting to marry a Ukrainian woman. I guess he thinks she is just trying to come the US. We know each other since 2008 and in 2009 I asked her to marry me 2 times. She was not certain because I had cancer and was just divorced. But I was very happy that in 2012 she said yes. YES WHEN HAVE BEEN WAITING TO BE TOGETHER IN THE US FOR 1YEAR AND 5 MONTHS AND STILL WAITING on our K-1. I hope Santa delivers coal to ... read complete review
