The interview was easy. All of us were together. They asked us to the first window to collect our documents, the medical exam, the I-134 and police certificate, and originals of documents, and asked Anya several questions. The lady noticed Anya's son (8 years old) was nervous and asked him if he ever had any problems with the law. He said, he didn't know what that was. We waited about 15 minutes before we were called to the 2nd window for the interview. She spoke in perfect Ukrainian to Anya, and asked 3 questions. Where did we meet? Is this your 2nd marriage? Then she spoke to me in perfect English, and asked me how many times had I been to Ukraine? And then she said congradulations, your visa's are approved. It was the easiest part so far. Everyone at the Embassy was polite and made us feel relaxed and calm.javascript:emoticon('')

I have dealt with this consulate as a citizen and my fiancé had his interview here. They have always been prompt on either side and although we were placed on administrative processing they took just a little over a week to make a decision on our case. When they issued the visa it was received very quickly with no issues. They also returned the documents at the same time. I have always found the staff to be as helpful as they can be but everyone's experience can differ.

We had our interview for Spousal visa on July 3rd, 2018. Our appointment was for 8:30 am. I went to the interview with my wife (USC). We arrived at the consulate at 7:30 am and there were already people waiting outside. Mostly appeared to be there for B1/B2 visa applications.
We handed our appointment letter and showed our passports, we went thru security and were assigned a number, we sat in the waiting room for 5-10 minutes and we were called up to the first window, a very nice woman collected all of our original documents, original police certificate and additional evidence of relationship from us, we spent approx 5 minutes at this window, after we were told to sit and a CO would call us.
After 15 minutes a nice man called us to window #12 for the interview, he spoke Engine to me and Russian to my wife, he reviewed all our documents, looked over the I-864 and approved it, he looked thru the photographs I gave the woman at the first window and we were ap... read complete review
