My fiancée was questioned by a female consulate worker. He was asked additional questions about how we originally met. She also asked questions about what his plans were once arriving in the U.S. They took all documents prior to the questioning and reviewed them. He said he was spoken to for a few minutes.

Overall my fiancé’s interview at the embassy went smoothly. However, some of the instructions could have been clearer. We ended up having to submit evidence after the fact because we were not aware we needed an updated letter of intent to marry. Please also be aware you will need to be in the country at least ten days prior to the interview date. This meant my fiancé from Iraq ended up having to stay in Ankara for nearly a month.

My husband had his interview this morning at Gate 2 at the embassy. They called my husband to come in nearly 30 minutes earlly. The passport photos he provided were over a year old, so they gave him 20 minutes to have new ones taken in the neighborhood.
The officer wanted to see hard copies of his printed Turkish documents (criminal background check, askerlik form, and birth certificate) and evidence of our relationship. Otherwise she checked over our forms on her computer from the CEAC system. I had been concerned that not having a 2021 tax transcript would earn us a 221g, but the officer said having the joint sponsorer's was enough. Çok şükür!
She asked just a few questions including how we met, what job our joint-sponsorer has, and where we were planning on moving.
At the end of the interview, she told my husband he was accepted and that the passport will be available after the holiday.

The process was very efficient. I showed up 45 minutes early, was let in around 20-30 minutes before my interview. You get a number, and wait for the screen. First time, I delivered all the documents, was asked to submit many of the documents I had with me. Then, I started waiting again for my number. This time, I had my interview. I was asked to swear to tell the truth, my finger print was taken. And then I was asked a couple of basic questions: When did you meet your spouse? How did your relationship evolve over the years? When did you move back to your home country? And then I was approved. After approval, I received my passport in mail two days later. Overall, very positive experience. I was in there probably around 90 minutes and the actual interview was only 5 minutes.
