Interview was very quick and painless. Questions asked:
So, you are getting married?
How did you meet?
Where does she live?
Officer was very nice and polite. Before the interview, he asked if my fiance wanted to do the interview in English or Turkish. He chose English.
After the interview he was told to go to the UPS counter. Visa should arrive in the next 2-3 days.

Here is our interview experience in Ankara, Turkey.
Our interview time was 8:15AM. We arrived there at 8:00AM and there
was already very long two lines, one for visitor visa and one for immigrant visa. I found out that the immigrant visa line was that long because Iranian
applicants also get interviewed in Ankara, Turkey.
We had to wait until 9:20AM to get in because security office told us that
there is already a long line inside and even he let us get in we would wait over there. Security officer then told me that USC spouse is not allowed to get in due to new regulation. So I wished good luck to my wife and she got in around 9:20AM and I was waiting for her outside.
This is what she told me about her interview;
After security check there was a counter where she had to wait half hour because there was another long line for immigrant via. Here they asked for the appointment letter, medical test results and 2 pi... read complete review

Not many questions. Specified a preference for Turkish but they asked in English and that went okay. I have to assume if it hadn't, they would have interviewed in Turkish. Interviewer was very nice and seemed sincere when she said, "Welcome to the United States!"

My wife had her interview on June 22, 2010. She woke up early at like 6 a.m. Turkish time. She got ready and went to the Ankara US embassy at like 7:30 a.m. She said she was the first one to be there. Her appointment was at about 8:30 a.m. She said more and more people started to come and it got really crowded. Finally the embassy opened at around 8 a.m. and started to let all the people in. Than they separated the people for what kind of visa and what time they had their appointments. My wife said she just waited and waited because it was a lot of people who had interviews that day. Finally at 11:30 a.m. she was called for the interview. She didn't tell me when they called her for pre-screening and such so I don't remember that, haha. They lady asked her how we met and when we met. She didn't ask anything else. The CO wrote something on the computer than asked for our 2009 tax returns which I sent to her again. Glad I did send another copy! The CO looked at it and than asked for bank ... read complete review
