Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Hi everybody! here's my review on the CR1 visa interview i had at US embassy in Ankara!
my interview was at 07:50 am on Nov 18th 2014

i was outside the embassy at 7:30 am, there were few people waiting in the line!
and i joined them and waited around half an hour! oh btw, while i was waiting in the line i took my phone out of my pocket and the security guard saw me and came to me and told me i wont be able to get in with any electronic device! then i freaked out and then he told me u can leave it at this small cafe near the embassy. so i ran to the cafe left the phone there and i was worried if the shop will let me leave it there.. but when i went to the cafe, the guy saw me holding the phone and my folders and told me: 5 turkish liras only! haha then i was like ohh this cafe seems familiar with people leaving their phones there :D then he got my phone and wrote note on it my name and then i ran back to the embassy and the line got longer but the two nice l... read complete review

They were really helpful and kind i have been in istanbul consulate too but ankara is way better then,
one thing you should now be there earlier then appointment time like because the line out side of embassy is making to late( being late is not a problem but it is annoying) good luck

Review Topic: K1 Visa

It went very smooth. At interview time I was at the gate of the consulate. They checkd my passport and sent me to the immigrant visas desk. They gave me a number and told me to wait my number to Show up on the screen. Everything is clear and easy. I waited about 1 and half hours till my interview in person. I was asked these questions:

When and how did u meet with your fiancé?
Did you meet with his parents?
Did he meet with ur parents?
What is his job?
Where does he live?
Where will u live in USA?
What are your wedding plans?
What did you study in Turkey?
Have u ever been in USA?
When will u get married?

It took about only 4 or 5 mins then she told me to expect to get my visa package from the PTT Office.

Everything from getting line in front of the embassy to waiting room was very easy and smooth. After I sat down in the waiting room it took almost 30 min for first call. That first call the CO asked me to hand them my medical result and proof of relationship, and even though i said english for interview first call was Turkish. I went back my chair afterwards and waited for 30 min for second call which is just for finger prints and waited around 45 min for the real interview. I felt so lucky when i see the CO because i guess she was the nicest person in that entire embassy.

Interview questions were;

How did you two meet ?
When did fiancee graduate from university ?
Did you graduate from the same university?
What are doing in Turkey? working or student or etc ?
Did you meet her family ?
What are planning to do when you get the USA ?

After all that smooth and correct answers she stood up and told me that sh... read complete review
