From talking with my love it was a great experience. He stated it didn't take must time at all. The only thing is support was not enough. So we had to get a co sponsor. We returned the paperwork and we were expected to receive the visa in 5 business days but that is soooooo not true. We are still waiting on our visa to be processed. We hope to hear something before 1/23/2015. Needless to say we have already purchased a ticket for him to enter the US on this day.

The Consulate in North Cyprus was very helpful. They do their processing a little different, according to some peoples post. My fiance is Nigerian but is studying in North Cyprus. He doesn't speak much Turkish but the staff spoke English and helped him along the way. I was so nervous from ready peoples experiences with Embassies and Consulates. He went there about 3 or 4 times leading up to his interview. He was anxious about the interview but said when he was done it was really easy. And they said someone would contact him in a few days that they had to process information. So he was confused about if he was approved or not but he didn't receive any papers and the next day I got a message for him to bring his passport back.

It was a crowded day at the embassy today, so I could get in after waiting for 2 hours outside. It was raining and I was soooo cold, but fortunately the waiting room was very warm. After getting my number and waiting for almost 45 minutes, my number was shown on the screen.

Behind the glass window on the desk, I saw my documents piled up and the lady behind the desk asked me for my passport. She said I was missing w3 form, and I gave her the reason why I wasn't able to give it to her. And then she asked me for the affidavit of support, which was already in my files, and I told her that. She told me to wait for a bit more and they'll look into the files again.

The second time I got called, another lady took my fingerprints and asked me to wait a bit more.

After 30 more minutes of worrying, I got called again. This time there was an American guy, who was incredibly nice and sweet. He asked me to raise my right hand and swear that I will tell t... read complete review

Hi everybody,
I hope my review helps people going to interviews in Ankara. First of all, I think as long as your relationship is legit, and neither you nor your fiancee has any criminal background, you do not need to worry about this interview. I was asked only one question by the CO: How did you meet your fiancee? That's all. However, I have been with my fiancee for over 8 years, and we had front loaded our petition with lots of evidence. So, if you and your fiancee have been together not considerably long, you might be asked more questions. The CO was very friendly, and I think they understand how stressful this process has been on us.
As for the financial side, Ankara looks at least year's tax returns. If your fiancee had made less than poverty lines, they certainly ask for co-sponsor. Certainly take your fiancee's LATEST paychecks or bank deposits with you to the interview.
Just go there prepared, and confident and with a smile on your face. After th... read complete review
