My husband's interview was at 8am. We arrived at the entrance of the embassy at around 7:45am and there was already a long line. But the security personnel take in people based on their interview time so, my husband went right in.
Note: backpacks, bags, etc. Of any kind were not accepted and I waited outside.
After he went in, he waited 30 minutes to be called by the first consular officer. She was Turkish and went through the folder with the paperwork we had gathered.
Then he went on to complete his fingerprint scan and biometrics. Finally a second consular officer who was also Turkish asked him about my birthday, how we met, my father, where we were going to stay in the USA and what we were going to do. All in all he waited almost 2 hours for a 5-minute interview but we were approved!!!

A little while later they called him up again & gave back certain documents that they said they didn't need. He waited 3 hours until his number was called for the interview. He says the waiting was the toughest part LOL. He was sworn in & then the woman asked when we met, how did our relationship evolve, when did we get married, how much do I visit him & if either of us has been married before. He said the woman was very nice & polite. She told him that everything looked good but that we needed to upload my and our sponsors 2017 1040 tax forms. We had only sent 2016 to NVC since it was at the end of March...and even though my husband had our 2017 tax forms at the interview, she handed them back to him & said that they just needed to be uploaded to CEAC. She gave him form 221-G & highlighted where it said to upload taxes & she said for us to email the embassy after we comp... read complete review
