Everything went well with her interview! They asked her 3 questions. How did you meet!,,, How many times I have come to meet her?,, and Where She learned to speak english so well?
She was given a card that told her to come the following day (March 16th) at 3PM, to pick up her visa!!!
I was there for that meeting. She and about 15 other girls were asked to join a man in a room, where he handed out all their visas. He also provided them information on what they need to do once arriving in the USA.
She was given a sealed envelope and was told not to open it. She was also given her passport back with her visa inside.

Was not with fiance when interviewed.
It appeared everything went well. Just two or three questions--fiance speaks fluent English. Where did you meet and when was the last time you saw each other? No problem right. After interview did not get the invitation to come back the next day to pick up visa--was just told to leave her phone number and they will call when the visa was ready.
She inquired at the window on did she get the visa and was told "ya ya you got it." She then asked why the delay and was told needed to run one more check. What!? One more check--after that the window was closed. She was given no time fram on when she would be called or any number to check on the status.
Well I had her ticket booked for 10 days after her interview. Three days past and no call. So I e-mailed the embassy and to their credit I got a reply that day saying her visa had been approved. So I figured she would get her call--more days passed and now call. It's now friday and her plane tic on Tue. I e-mailed the Embassy again and explaned the situation. Once again they e-mailed me back the same day and said oh yea she can pick up her visa on Monday. The day before her flight!
It felt like if I did not e-mail the Embassy who knows when this call might have happened.
I will give the Embassy credit on their e-mail replies but very low marks on how my fiance's situation was handled.
good luck to all

Great experience all around including the process up to the actual interview. During the interview they were professional and friendly and asked these questions:
1) She asked me how long I'd been living in thailand and if I spoke thai
2) She asked C how we met
3) She then asked what out plans were upon arriving in the US
4) She asked what degrees we had
5) She showed us each picture we had given her and asked the approximate dates of each and where we were at.
It took about 5 minutes for the actual interview but about 4 hours of waiting after checking in at 7am. We arrived at 6:20am and were last in line outside but that doesn't matter anyway since everyone has the same interview time scheduled and they seem to be calling people at random.
Visa was approved and picked up the following afternoon after a 45 minute tutorial on how to use the visa and some basic immigration info was given to C.

Confusing instruction, as the document given to the applicants wasn't updated. The counsul officers were polite, but the Thai staffs weren't.

Hello All,
I just wanted to report a successful interview in Bangkok on February 2.
Today Meaw and I went to the embassy at 3:00pm and picked up her passport and K-1 visa along with the sealed envelope for US immigration. The interview was a piece of cake. The consular officer's name is Thomas, he was very nice. He asked Meaw only 2 questions: 1)How many times has your fiance come to visit you?, and 2)Where did you meet your fiance? The whole thing took about 2 minutes. The funny part came when he took Meaw's fingerprints. He asked Meaw to place the index finger of her right hand on the fingerprint thingy, no problem. Then he asked for her to do the left index finger. So, Meaw, not being familiar with the process put both her left and right index fingers on the thingy at the same time. After I stopped chuckling I explained that one at a time was what was needed.
On another subject, I don't think it behooves anyone to get to the embassy at 5 or 6 am in the morning. Unless you want to get up really early and spend more time hanging out on Wireless Road. They didn't let anyone in until 7:30am. The order in which you turn in your package in at window 5 does not dictate the interview order, it was completely random. The woman in front of us got lucky and just happened to be the first interview that day. Our interview was the eighth one. Neither she or us was first to turn in our respective packages. They do 17 interviews a day, everyday. We went to the interview with the man who has been helping us throughout the process and is at the embassy several times each week. He says, Thomas(consular officer) does not even start the first interview until 9am. Sure enough, 9:05, first interview. We got to the embassy at about 7:00am, tuned in our package, had our interview and were out of there at 11:00am.
The embassy is no longer accepting walk-ins for interview dates. The forms and checklist must be mailed in and the embassy mails you the interview date. Kind of a bummer. I don't have incredible faith that they can get the mail where it is supposed to go all of the time. Case in point, Meaw now has her visa in hand and we are still waiting for her Packet 3! Good Luck to all.
Peace, Evan and Meaw
