Interview scheduled for 730am Friday morning. Wan arrives about 645am and gets in line. Embassy opens at 7am, and Wan turns in paperwork at Window 5. She Waits nearly 3 hours for her name to be called for interview at Window 6. Finally her name is called. the consular office is American, but speaks Thai. She is asked only two questions. Where am I from and How many times have I come to visit her.
Visa Aprroved!!! That's it.
The waiting was the hardest part, but the interview itself was a breeze.

Got there at 6:30 and went thru security. went to window 5 and turned in paperwork and was told to have a seat. We waited a long time we were the last to be called. THe man at window 6 was very nice and said every thing was approved and good but he needed to do a FBI check on the name changes for my S/O. We were delayed 4 days and we went back and got the VISA!!

To begin with, we stayed at the Centre Point Wireless Suites just up the road from the Consulate. Very nice hotel with great breakfast buffet!
Woke up at 5:30 and went to eat breakfast at 6:10. At 6:35 we headed out the door, on foot, for the Consulate. Arrived at the Consulate at 6:45 (cheated, and got a cab half-way there since the shoes Chutima was wearing were hurting her feet!). Were inside the Consulate at 7:00, and at Window 5 by 7:15.
Handed all our documents to the lady at Window 5. She gave back the two photos, the copy of the NOA2, the X-ray she removed from the Medical Exam envelope, and the 3rd sheed from the DS-156. Had me write my name on the DS-156K, had Chutima sign the DS-230 Part I, filled in the blank on Q22 of DS-230 Part I "In what occupation do you intend to work in the United States?", and asked for relationship photos. I handed her a ziplock baggie with 5 photos inside, and that was it.
At 7:25 got called back to... read complete review

We just got back from Bangkok, had our interview on the 16th. I must say it was a very pleasant experience and nothing like i had expected. We arrived about 8:00am and turned in our paperwork at window five. We sat down and patiently waited and about 10:00am our name was called. We were called to window six where a caucasion (american?) man awaited us, i dont know his name but he was very kind and smiled the entire time. After reassuring Thaung not to be nervous, he only asked a few simple questions:
1. to Thaung (in thai): How long has Jamie lived with you ?
2. to me : how long have you lived in Thailand ?
3. where did you meet ?
4. to me : Do you plan to return to Indiana soon ?
Then he smiled at us and told us we can come back the next day to pick up our visa. I couldnt believe it was all over in less than five minutes, we were both so happy. So a big thanks to visa journey and all the members here, i couldnt have done it without y... read complete review
