Initial Interview: sent requiring Joint Sponsor. Sent that. Submitted one week later. Told to return in 1 week. Sent away one week later, they were too busy to process her case, come back in 1 week. Came back again next week, success. Visa in hand next day. New personnel processing some cases, seem to be making waves establishing themselves, requiring lots of 'addition paperwork' in many cases.

I had an interview on 2Oct at 7am...My name was the first name to be called at the window 5.The consular is young and kind. She looked through my photos album and then asked me only 1 question "How did you meet your fiance'?". That's it! Then she gave me the appointment card to pick up the visa on 4 Oct at 3pm. I believe that all short descriptions on my evidence of relationship (photos, index on phone bille, chats, mail lists etc) helped them to understand about us better.Just like I gave them the jigsaw with number on it!!
- I left the Embassy at 8:30...earlier than I expected!!

Counellor was very nice and personable. However, the embassy (Thai) staff was rushed, rude, intollerant, and basically incompetant. I needed to use my congressman's office to communicate with them and tell them that they were WRONG to ask for some extra documents that don't even exsist in America.
I've dealt with this embassy for years while living in Thailand, and unfortunately this is the norm for them. They must have great job security to be able to treat people the way they do and not get fired!
