Arrived early lots of people in line for other types of visas, a few other K1's, maybe 5 or 6. They go to front of line, once they get a card from the ACS staff. May was in there about 4 hours, I stood outside and saw the other K1 applicants leaving about 30 minutes apart. Some did not look too happy and they had their passports in hand, surely a denial was handed to them. May finally came out about 11:15. Approved!!! She said the man asked her only about 4 or 5 questions in Thai as he paged through the big pile of evidence.
I have to give credit to Siam Legal for helping both of us out with this process. It is complex and somewhat convoluted. They do a very good service and are quite helpful in coordinating things.
Some other info about our case, I am quite fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend 2 months in Thailand with May while we waited for USCIS to

I had scheduled an appointment on July 25, 2012 at 7:00 AM
I went to bed early and prepared my relationship proof in the folders. Before the sleep time, me and my fiance, we had a final practice about visa questions for reminding and got prepared.
I arrived to the US consulate around 6:30 AM and then the lady staff in pink shirt told me to came inside, I went through the security check and walked inside. I sent all my original documents and my relationship proofs to them at window 6 and had to paid for the EMS fee because now they've changed the rule, they will send our visa by post mail instead of picking up at the consulate. The EMS fee is 350 Baht.

After that I had to sit and wait until 10:30 AM. The male consular officer at window 5 called my name ... read complete review

Hi congratulations for having made it this far. I have a question. How were you notified that the consulate had your case? Our case left the nvc on the 29th July but we have not heard from the embassy as yet. I have all my documents ready but its so frustrating to have to wait.
Thanks
Chanda
