Showed up at 6:30. Let in at 6:45. She was second interviewee. Pleasant middle age western woman conducted interview. Begin asking questions in Thai but Nan always responded in English. Soon switched to English questions. 1. Where we meet. 2. Where she works. 3. Does boyfriend know she has kids. 4. When will we marry. Then she said application apprioved!! Nan said woman was nice and made her feel comfortable. Embassy said visa would be received in mail in 1 to 2 weeks. Hope not that long since we already have her plane ticket!!

Nok had her interview 1/8/14. Showed up at 6:45 a.m. and was escorted in promptly. She reemerged about 10 a.m. smiling and excited, approved!
She was interviewed in Thai, the typical questions were asked, where, when, and how we met, etc. This was my second K1 so they also questioned her on that subject as well ( as I expected they would ). We had spent a fair amount of time on that subject ourselves so she was well prepared for it.
Even though she didn't need a single certificate ( from the definition ) she had prepared one anyway and they did ask to see it. I guess what they ask for depends on who is doing the interviewing that day. Overall though a good experience, the embassy did a good job with our case.

Malinee had her interview on Friday 12/20/2014. The woman who interviewed her
spoke English and Thai and asked her about 7-8 questions.
How we met, what language we talk to each other, how often we talk,
where do I live and what do i do, when will we get married. Malinee was very
nervous and afterwards she told me that out of the 6 K-1 applicants only 3
passed...one failed for poor English; others did not have complete documents
I knew Malinee passed when i saw her big smile coming out the Embassy door!!

I wasn't present but my fiancee tells me the experience went smoothly and was positive. She showed up at a 6:20 a.m. and was in the first que. She was the third person to be called up to the counter (apparently there was only one person doing interviews) and the interview was very brief. The consular officer was a woman and was friendly, and only asked two or three questions after looking at the supporting documentation my fiancee had brought along. She was told she'd get the visa by mail within a week.

We arrived at 6am and first there in line the door's open at 7am. The interview was short the lady interviewer asked a a few questions. How met, when was the wedding, why do you love your husband, what did you do for a living, what will you do once you get to the USA ?. APPROVED ! oh yes my wife had a choice of language to be interviewed in,the interviewer was polite and made my wife feel at ease. On the down side it does not matter what place in line you are, we were first in line and the only IR/1 - CR/1 their that day and she were last to be interviewed 5 hours later.
