On 2/24 Renu had her interview. She arrived at 5:45am and had her interview around 10:30am. According to Renu there was at least 10 other ladies getting their K-1 interviews that day.

She said that majority of them passed except for 2 who seemed disappointed. The interview took about 15 minutes.

Questions asked included :
What's your fiancé name? Where was he born? Why is your son not coming? What is his Job? What did he do in the Navy? How did we meet? Does he speak Thai? Where and when will you get married?

Visa Approved, they mailed that day and she got her Passport back with approved visa today. Happy Times.

Now we have a wedding to plan. Overall she said it was a good experience and the Lady at window #5 was very professional and friendly.

As long as you are properly prepared, patient, organized, presentable and have true love I believe this process is very easy than expected. Took us only 5 m... read complete review

Today (22nd of January, 2014) my "fiance", Threedet, had his interview at the Bangkok Embassy. He arrived at around 06:30 and was the 3rd to be interviewed. His interview was about 20 minutes long and was conducted by a friendy woman who asked many questions, but our I-129F packet was very well prepared, so there was no issue about the legitimacy of our relationship. Her questions were more concerning our 2006 marriage ceremony, which was not a legal wedding, but at the time we had no hope of ever being married legally, so we had our own private ceremony to validate our relationship, as has been commonplace for decades with same sex couples until recent changes in the laws. The C.O. was just verifying that we had not been legally married in the past, and she was concerned about my finaces, as we had expected because I had to use 3 forms of income to qualify and none of these were from employment (SSDI is an acceptable income source), but he was approved for his K1 visa and will be comi... read complete review

Today (January 22, 2014) my fiance, Sudarat, from Thailand passed her K-1 visa interview! She waited 3 hours for a 5 minute interview! We can say the process was very good! Thank you US Embassy in Thailand. I have visited Sudarat in Thailand multiple times. The last time was in October of 2013 when we had our "Thai Style" engagement ceremony. My parents and uncle flew over for this ceremony and Sudarat took 100's of pictures to show the interviewing officer. We were also diligent and over prepared in our paperwork...but it paid off with a seamless interview. Five minutes, five questions...PASSED!

Sudarat did say that while she was there, many other people being interviewed did not get passed in 5 minutes. She saw others being interviewed for 30-45 minutes. So...it can be done, do your paperwork, take lots of photos, search the web for questions they might ask...be prepared and the interview is likely to go easy.
