There were three appointments scheduled for 7am on the same day, my fiancé Nutcha was one of them. She arrived 45 minutes early before they opened and there was already a line. They started entering before 7am and at 8:20, her name was called. Nutcha said that there were three people she spoke with. The first looked at her documents, she had made a book of everything that may have been needed. This person took the book of documents and looked at a few pages, specifically my W2's from last year (she did not look at my tax transcripts also included). The second person who was also Thai asked several questions such as: Where does your fiancé live? How did you meet? When was the last time your fiancé was in Bangkok? When was the last time you visited your fiancé in the United States? Then she was directed to the third person, an American man. This person asked her to raise her hand and promise to tell the truth. Then she was asked to scan her fingerprints, she was vis... read complete review

The process was truly chaotic. My fiancee is Vietnamese but interviewing at the Bangkok US Embassy, because she lives and works in Bangkok. The day before my fiancee's interview at the US Embassy, her interview appointment disappeared from the embassy website; it was wiped entirely off the schedule for that month. Surprised and unsure what to do, I posted on here if anyone had any experience with this. Nobody had encountered this happening before but the general consensus was to go to the interview anyways because we had not heard anything from the embassy. So she went to her appointment as it had been originally scheduled. Once there, they took all of her documents as if she was having her interview and there was no indication of anything wrong. She was asked the usual first round of questions when she gave the documents and then she waited 5 hours for her name to be called up for her interview. When she was called up, the officer simply said that they wanted to independently verify A... read complete review

Posting on behalf of my wife who went for the interview.

She went in around 8am for a 9am interview. As soon as she approached security they made her INSTANTLY turn off her phone - highly recommend you send any messages you need to before going near the embassy!

Inside she said they listed which documents they needed and were very polite, giving her a number and told her to wait. In the end she had to wait over 3 hours, possibly because they forgot the number or there were many documents to check. After waiting the CO asked nothing, just checked why we moved our case from a different embassy and said the visa was approved on the spot! I suggest not being worried if you have to wait, they might have made a mistake with numbers or just take time to check all your documents.

All in all we are very happy and it wasn't too stressful at all!

Just wrapped up a video call with my fiancee. Although it took over 3 hours for the whole production to be over, I'm thankful that the interview itself was very easy. Apparently, they were having IT issues. (Go figure.)

The CO only asked 3 questions:

Is "Narakthisud" your fiance?
Where does he live?
When are you planning on going to the US?
