Jiraprapar stayed at a hotel near the embassy the night before. Getting to the embassy around 6:15 am for her interview at 7:00 am.She was really nervous comparing her feels to that of going to a job interview. When let inside for the interview, she said she had a little trouble hearing them over the loudspeaker when they called her number. Said their Thai was not "clear." Her interview ending up taking place at 8:00 am. The officer asked her 3 questions; "How did we meet?", "How long have we been together?" and "Where do I (the petitioner) work?". She stumbled a bit with the last question saying at first "NC Department of Public Security..." before ending up correcting herself with a laugh stating "Safety...Department of Public Safety". The officer stated that she was approved and that she'll have her visa in hand in 7 days.
In the last 24 hours since the interview she's been feeling a bit shocked. Thinking is this real, is this a dream.. After such a long process to be... read complete review

Gip told me that it was all in all a pretty easy interview. The only hang up was from when she had admitted to amphetamine use during the medical, Then, when they went to schedule the interview, they sent the email to the wrong email address, and had another case number. She had less than 24 hours notice, and for whatever reason didn't have her translated birth cert. She got a 221G for those 2 things. Interviewer told her that once these things were addressed, she would get the visa. A little more than 6 months has passed, and CEAC shows that the visa is issued. My only complaint was the lack of communication from the Embassy after all of the paperwork was resubmitted, the past few weeks

The line was very short. We got there at about 8:30 am on Wednesday for a 9:30 appointment. I was told everyone was very friendly. My fiancé had to wait some time before the actual interview. The interview itself took about 10 minutes. The questions were: when did we first meet, what do I do for a living, how often have I visited her. The total time from the appointment time to completion of the interview was about 1 hour an 15 minutes.

Very good experience. Line was long and slow moving, but that's expected. Fiancee arrived at 6:45, had an appointment for 7:30, and was finished by 8:45.
All they asked her was "How did you two meet?" and "How many times did he come to visit?"
Since we met while I was living in Thailand, and lived together there for over a year, that was no problem. They told her it was approved and she'd get it in the mail within 7 days. She did note that a few others were declined due to insufficient evidence (maybe not declined, but sent home to gather more documents)
Very smooth experience.

Visa interview scheduled for early in the morning. Staff very friendly. Ask a few questions and let Laylai know her visa would be approved. Consulate kept passport to affix the visa. Passport and visa arrived about a week later.
Very good experience!
