The interview appointment was set for 9am. I arrived at 7am and was allowed to enter the Embassy to wait in a seated area for the interview. The longest part was the wait for the interview, which was about 3 hours.

The interview itself was very smooth and good. My husband and I went over the pre-interview checklist three times to ensure we had all of our documentation in order, which really helped during the interview.

10 months after applying for K-1, my Thai fiancée had her interview today. Despite the many positive reviews here, she was very nervous, having heard horror stories, particularly on YouTube. So a reality check may help others. It's really not too scary.

The consulate staff was courteous and friendly. The interviews she saw (and hers) were brief, and at the counter window, not in an inner room. She was asked just a few questions (possibly because we had provided ample proof of relationship and support in p... read complete review

The officer he had for his interview was a man. The man was SUPER nice! It was not as intimidating as we thought. He literally did his interview at the counter window. They didn’t pull him into a room, the officer didn’t drill him. I made a binder for him to show our evidence, the officer didn’t even need to look at it. I made sure he was super prepared, and God was on our side and he didn’t even need all that stuff. Very positive experience. Thank God it didn’t end up like the horror stories we hear.
