Review Topic: K1 Visa

8/19/2019: interview passed and visa approved verbally. 3 questions: 1) where/how did we meet? 2) where do I live? 3) what do I do for living? Children (K2) also had to be present.

Nice old gentleman, very friendly and made it easy for my soon-to-be wife.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Interview went great. The scheduled time was 10 AM. We were told not to arrived before 30 minutes prior. However, the taxi got us there at 9:20 and they let my wife in right away. Of course, I, as the petitioner, had to remain outside on the street. She had to wait a good while inside. But once she got to talk with the Embassy rep it was a nice interaction in both in English and Thai. The man asked her the general questions, how we met, did I have a house in the USA, where was it, etc.
My wife is an ex-auditor and she had prepared about 5 kilos of indexed paperwork for both the required documents and background. She says the Embassy man was very impressed!
The wait and the interview all took about 1:45 minutes from start to finish.
