The appointment was very smooth and easy. They didn't ask many question. Simply to show them the evidence of the relationship and the affidavit of support. They asked what's your fiance's name? Have you been to the US before? They asked about mine and my fiance's divorce? asked about jobs and salaraies.
after that they told me I was approved, pending them receiving my medical report (I had already taken my medical exam, but it didn't get there before the interview).
Once they received the missing paperwork, the status changed to "issued" within the week.
All in all, they were easygoing and not as intense as I expected.

Mallory (the American) was able to plan a visit to Sweden during the time Paul's interview was scheduled, which was on February 22 (a Thursday). Paul resides in Gothenburg, which is a few hours away from Stockholm, so we booked a hotel for the night before and after the interview and took the train from GBG to Stockholm via MTR, which was a very pleasant trip that lasted about 3 hours each way. We picked the Radisson Blu Viking Hotel in Stockholm because it is literally right beside Central Station in Stockholm, so we were right there as soon as we got off the train and also had many amenities in walking distance, such as stores and restaurants located in the station. This hotel was very nice and worked for us, so we would definitely recommend that one. Others recommend booking a hotel much closer to the embassy instead (it was about a 15-20 minute cab ride from our hotel to the embassy), so it just depends on what works best for you and how you plan to travel to Stockholm.

Had our interview today. Arrived at 10:00 for a 10:30 appointment and was called in at 10:35. IO came out and called petitioner's name and took us back to her office. We were put under oath, and then she asked both of us our full names and birthdays. She took my husband's fingerprints and picture (he's the petitioner) . Then she asked me what my husband's full name is and his birthday. Then she asked my husband for my birthday and full name. She went through the i485 with my husband (all the yes/no about being a terrorist, belonging to a terrorist group, etc.) She then asked us our story, how we met, what trips we've been on together, what we did for our first date, where we live now and how long we've lived there. It was a very casual conversation, and we were never separated the entire time. She then asked if we had any otter evidence we wanted to show so we handed over a stack of pictures that she went through while still talking to us about our trips and if I like soccer (my husba... read complete review

Sat in the waiting room for like 30 minutes, the actual interview took maybe 10 minutes in total.
Swore in to tell the truth and nothing but the truth, then I was asked questions about my fiance and our relationship.
''What is his name?''
''Where does he live?''
''What does he do?''
''How did you meet?''
''What do you love about him?''
''Who are these people?'' (Referring to the co sponsors)
As soon as he was done questioning me, he told me that I was approved and that I should receive my visa in 2 weeks. (I actually got it a couple days later. )
I also did the whole interview in English.

Interview was relatively informal, they asked very basic, cursory questions about our relationship. My husband was asked how we met, how long we had been together, etc. I also assembled a very robust packet for the consular officer to review that had every single document I submitted with the I-864, along with originals of both of our birth certificates and my husband's police report. However, keep in mind that my husband is a Swedish citizen and is therefore probably far less scrutinized than he would be had he come from a war-torn nation or a country with other issues that would create security concerns.
The consulate is firm about its no electronics rule; my husband was allowed to take a cell phone into the building, but he had to check it in before he had his interview. A woman who had an appointment before him took her laptop and was told to leave the embassy to drop it off at her home/hotel and return for her appointment. I think she may have missed her appointment... read complete review
