This was easily the best and least stressful part of the whole experience. I am not going to go into the minute empirics as others have done so in the past reviews of this embassy. However, I will go into the overall process. My appointment was at 8:30 and I arrived there at 7:30; they let me in at 8:00. The process consisted of two main parts; handing in the documents (pre-interview) and the interview. When handing in the documents they asked me some interview type questions as I was going through my file, after I handed in all my documents and answered really basic questions I was told to sit. I then waited 20 mins to be called up for the real interview which consisted of taking an oath, having my prints taken and then answering some really basic question. Everyone in the embassy was really nice and friendly, both people that spoke to me did so somewhat informally which made for a really relaxed atmosphere. I really think the "interview" is just a formality and your case is decided b... read complete review

Hi guys!
So I had my K-1 Visa interview at the US embassy in Stockholm last week. My appointment was at 8.30 in the morning and I arrived at the embassy around 7.50. It was already plenty of people waiting for non immigration visas but it was only one person waiting in the other line. They opened at 8.00 and called me up almost right away. I walked up to the building where the security was and the officer asked me to show my passport through a window, then he asked me to show my purse and what I had inside, then he asked me to take one step back turn around and show the soles of my shoes. After that he let me inside and that´s where the security check is, it´s pretty much like at an Airport. The officer kept my keys and my phone (which I got back when I left the embassy). The officer then told me to follow the yellow line to the left and walk up towards the building. This was all in English.
When I got to the building Another officer told me to sit down and... read complete review

My appointment was at 9 am on May 3rd, 2018. I arrived at the embassy by bus at about 8:10. There were already tons of people by the "bus stop"/in the non-immigrant line, and even though I stood by the pole with a yellow stripe like I read I was supposed to, it was a bit unclear if I was really in a line because no one else was by that pole. Moments later another K1 visa applicant came by and decided to stand there too which made me feel more confident.
I was called up to the embassy entrance pretty quickly and going through security was smooth. I went up to the waiting room and was greeted nicely by a man who asked me what visa I was applying for, and then told me to go to window 7 to leave my passport there. Then I sat down and waited for an hour to be called. The process has two steps; document drop-off and interview. The document drop-off comes first and normally only takes 5-10 minutes, but there were three cases before me of which one took a lot longer than that. W... read complete review

My appointment time was at 8:30. I was waiting in the queue from 7:30. The embassy opened at 8:00. I was told to show my passport through the window, then I had to show my bag and it’s content. They told me to take off my jacket, turn around and show the bottom of my shoes. After that I was let in and put my belongings in a tray so they could X-ray it. I went through a metal detector like the one they have at the airport. After that I was told to follow the yellow line.
I came to a room with a lot of chairs and was told to go directly to hatch number 7. There was a very nice lady there speaking Swedish. She asked me for the originals of some of the documents I sent in earlier. She pointed out that she was not the person who was going to interview me. But she gave me some questions anyway. More of a small talk. She asked me to take a seat and wait for my name to be called out. It took about 15 minutes.
I went to the hatch just to the right of the l... read complete review
