Review Topic: K1 Visa

Coming from Denmark, I had to go to Stockholm for my embassy, and that meant I had to first take the train to Copenhagen, where I would then take a flight (about 1 hour duration) to Stockholm - I flew with Norwegian for about 300 DKK(pretty cheap if you ask me), and took the Stockholm-Arlanda Express from the airport to the central station (about 20 minutes), from there, Bus 69 (outside of Central station) goes directly to the Embassies (Stop called: Ambassaderne), which also took about 20 minutes. But because the appointment was at 8:30 am in the morning, I decided to arrive the day before, and stay at a hotel overnight - which I will recommend to anyone not living in Stockholm.

When I first arrived at the embassy, at 8:15 am (15 minutes before appointment), I stood in the Immigrant-Visa line (as directed by the Checklist email sent by the Embassy), the security guards told me that K1s are supposed to go in the Non-Immigrant line nonetheless, despite what the email told... read complete review

Great, no problems what so ever! Remember that there's a separate line outside (when you arrive at the embassy) for immigrant visas, I stood in the wrong one for a while I handed in my docs at one window, and waited for the interview. She was really nice, only a few questions and approved! Too bad Norwegians have to go that far for such a quick check and approval.

Hi,
I cannot believe that it took 83 days from NOA 1 to an approved visa at the interview at the US embassy in Sweden.

So to share my experience? I feel bad for all the people in the non-immigrant line outside, i counted quickly to 20 and was not even finished. However, if you are like me; filing for a K1 remember to stay in the IMMIGRANT line. This line has their own little sign so just stop next to it and wait for the polite office to call you in for the security. Pass through and move on to window G as stated in the guidelines from the embassy. The nice old lady that I talked to checked off all the required papers and only took photos for the evidence part.

Sit down and wait for your name to be called.

After, not more than 10, they called my name to a window where you had to read out the oath in either Swedish or English. This time the interview itself occurred, a lady asked me no more than 5 questions which probably is very situa... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

So, i had my appointment at 8.30 am, and i got there at 7.50 . I only saw one cue, and that was for the Non-Immigrant, and to tell you the truth , i have been and still are, confused abt this being a non-immigrant visa or an immigrant visa!
But i felt that, that was the cue i was suppose to stand in line for, non-immigrant!
It said on a sign, that i had to have an envelope with me, which i didn't bring, so i had to walk 15 mins, in snow, it was freezing, with my travelling bag and laptop bag. And 15 mins back, so i was late for my appointment, but they said in the speakers that it was ok still. So i got in line, and sgtarted waiting. I stood there for abt 2 hrs, and i was so frustrated of the very few ppl standing in the other line from time to time, us citizens and immigrant visa green card applicants.
So, it was finally my turn, i had to take off my jacket and show the soles of my shoes, then the officer wanted to see my passport, he was standing looking at the a... read complete review
