My fiance says that the woman who checked his papers to make sure everything was there, was very nice. However, the woman who did the actual interview gave him a hard time because he is not fluent in English. It turned out okay since his application was approved. Maybe the interviewer was just having a bad day.

Before going to Madrid I sent the packet 3 response with the 4 DS-* forms (DS-230 I, DS-156, DS-156K, DS-157) + the checklist signed, so I didn't have to take those with me. MEDICAL:

I had the embassy appointment set on a Monday at 12:00, so I had to have the medical done the previous Friday, apparently now they do interviews any day of the week, as opposed to before, when they would only take place on Wednesdays. I was concerned I wouldn't have enough time to pick up the results on Monday, since the clinic says you can pick them up from 12:00, but once there they told me they actually get the resu... read complete review

Mi prometida se puso en contacto con su congresista local y esto hizo una gran diferencia en el proceso.
Antes de salir a Madrid pague las tasas en una sucursal del banco Santander y ellos ya tienen un formulario especial para estos pagos solo hay que aclarar que es para una visa k1 y ya ellos hacen el resto, también es buena idea tener todos los papeles preparados junto con pruebas de la relación y todo lo que se te ocurra que te puedan pedir.
Mi cita en la embajada fue a las 12 del dia por lo que no pude hacer la cita con el medico el dia antes como lo hacen normalmente todos, en cambio tuve que pedir la cita para el lunes asi recogía mis resultados el marte y el miércoles a la embajada. La cita en el medico fue muy positiva, el medico te pasa a su consulta donde te hace unas preguntas y te hace un físico mientras te explica todo perfectamente, después te pasan con la enfermera que te toma una muestra de sangre y te explica lo de las vacunas, que a... read complete review
