We went to the Embassy last week for my wife's interview. On Monday we had to go to the doctor where everyone was very nice. You actually have to go to 2 different places, one for the check-up and one for the chest x-ray. The next day you have to return after 12:00 to pick up your packet which you will give to the embassy.
In the embassy everyone was very nice. We weren't sure what to expect but everyone is very nice.
Be careful, they will not let you bring in any bags. Luckily we had a place to stash ours, make sure you do the same. To enter you have to go through a metal detector and they take your phones and your watch. You get them back when you leave.
The interview was fairly straightforward. We went to a window and talked with the first agent who asked us a few questions, waited some more and went to a second window where we answered some more questions. We were told we were approved and her visa would be mailed to us in t... read complete review

The whole process at the US Embassy in Madrid was smooth and fast. Thumbs Up to the great team at the US Embassy Madrid.
Packet 3 and Packet 4 sent on time by the Embassy. All my inquiries were promptly answered. The Interview was straight forward and the Staff at the Embassy were quite helpful and friendly.

Hello all! So excited to finally be writing a review.
Over all the process was stress free, easy, and fast! My fiance had his appointment at 3pm and he was done and calling me by 4pm.
When he first arrived he waited among 4 others to be called up to the first window where he gave his medical paper work and receipt for payment of visa. The only question he was asked was if either of us had been previously married - in which he answered that I was - and that was all. He was then told to take a seat.
Minutes later, he was called up to the other window for the "dreaded" interview! He swore to tell the truth and then was asked, what seems to be the most popular question for Madrid, "tell me your story". So he did. He said he wished he gave more details but was nervous - basically his story went something like this: boy meets girls. boy falls for girl. boy marries girl. Well, and some added dates too. He was then asked if I ... read complete review

My fiance wrote the following about his experiences in Madrid. He scheduled the medical for the day before the appointment, and was really impressed with how polite and nice everyone was at both the doctor's office and the embassy.
---
The last step of the K1 process was so easy, I had my medical appointment the day before to go to the embassy, so I could got my results before to walk to the embassy (the day after the medical inspection that was easy and the medical staff were so nice).
The only problem in the embassy was that nobody told me about to avoid to carry any bag or item like luggage or something similar so you should just bring a folder with your papers and the medical results.
I got the embassy early and they told to come back 30 minutes before the hour i had scheduled, then the officers checked my passport and made me to pass the normal controls (you have to leave your cellphone at the door and go inside the visa office).
