(Note: This is during Corona times) Our appointment was at 8AM and we got there at 7:30AM. There was no line and I was allowed to go inside with my husband. We went in to the 2nd floor and had to fill out the courier paper to have his passport sent at a late time and they gave us a paper showing the order the civil documents should be in. Then we went to the 2nd floor where they called us to the window at about 7:45 and asked for all our documents. They asked for the petitioner's I-864 which we didn't have a copy of, but told them it was uploaded to the website. They said OK we will check it then and told us to sit down and wait to be called. At 8:30 my husband was called up to the window and his interview lasted about 12 minutes. By 8:46 we were finished with an approval and headed out of the embassy. Overall, everyone was really nice there. Total there was only 4 other people there waiting for interviews.

I did not like being sent back to get another Korean background check. How many background checks can one provide to get a visa?

Altogether the process took about 2 hours but 2 hours 15 minutes counting the wait outside the embassy in the morning. In addition to only permitting one cell phone, smart watched, fit bits, etc aren't allowed so if it's any sort of electronic device, leave them behind. All the staff- from guards to officers- were very kind. All instructions given were clear and the guard watching over the waiting room went out of his way to calm nerves by instructing everyone on what order all the different steps would be taken, approximately how long things would take, and not to worry if someone found themselves waiting for over an hour for their interview as certain cases would take more time. In the waiting room, they give you a sheet of paper that details exactly what order they want your documents to be in and specify no paper clips or folders so keep your documents organized but don't bother to clip them or place them into folders.
I attended as the petitioner and heard from the... read complete review

Fiancé stated that the interviewer was very nice. She was the first in line and the first to be seen. Entry into the embassy started at 745am and she was out by 830am.
