We began our green card application process by filling the i-130 and a G325-A for each of us (biographic information) with the US embassy in Seoul. You need to first make an appointment via the embassies website. This was very easy to do. Our appointment was on October 18 at 9:00AM. This part was quick and easy, except for the fact that we needed to leave the embassy and get a copy of our marriage certificate, a photo copy of every page of my Irish passport, a copy of the front page of my spouses passport. We also needed to go the nearest bank to get $420 dollars, for some weird reason we couldn't pay by credit card inside the embassy but could pay the next visa fee inside the embassy.
Our i-130 was received packet 3.5 on October 21 by email. We then began the process of obtaining all the necessary documents for visa application.
We faxed part one of the DS230 to the embassy November 16 and applied online for appointment on the same day. We chose the second week ... read complete review

Arrived at the embassy at 7:45...two other people where already ahead of us. Went in at 8, got a number and waited to be called. Was called after a few others because my husband only brought his Korean debit card (even though I said bring cash just in case). Anyway, he was called for the interview, it was a few minutes longer than most people than they called me up to ask a few questions. Which I thought was strange at first because they interviewed me earlier in the process. But they were concerned about my travel and worried that I may not return to the US. So we were told that I needed to get a letter stating that I had a job in the US or would be attending college. I also needed the w-2 from my joint sponsor. The sad news is that we were told that AP was required and they are not sure how long it would take. javascript:emoticon('') But overall the interview was pretty simple, the guy who interviewed us has even lived in Tehran and knew some Farsi. He was ... read complete review

The interview was less than 5 minutes. Getting a CR1 visa in South Korea is a breeze.

My interview went pretty smoothly. She asked me some very basic and simple questions regarding my fiance, his family, and his job. It took only 5 mins.

Quick and painless. My husband got there 30 minutes early from his 8:00 start time. He was fingerprinted and completed some other administrative tasks, then he was called in for the interview. He was asked several questions in English, after the officer asked him if he could understand and speak English well enough to understand and answer them. That was it...received his temporary U.S. entry visa two days later via courier.
