interview went very well. it took about 5 minutes. questions were : 1) how did you meet your fiancee 2) where is he now? 3) who proposed to who?
after interview i got the blue paper because i had to provide additional police record. the document was delivered after 5 days and i mailed to the embassy. My visa was approved and passport sent three days after i sent the document.

Same procedure as already mentioned. came early got out as early as i came however got an administrative review for not submitting the Korean criminal record Certificate. Anew law stating we should submit a second document from the police called criminal record Certificate. it takes a week to be issued which really is a bad thing for our wedding plans. My fiancee had also rushed to buy tickets which i do not recommend you do unless you've heard approved from officer. My travelling are delayed by a week now. i'll give an update as things evolve.
I think they should have notified me of this in their email with IV package they surprised me at the last minute and ruined my plans.

Overall the process went very smoothly except for one wrinkle: The packet 3 instructions stated you needed a police certificate if you stayed in another country for 12 months. My fiancee was in another country for 11 months but when we handed in the papers the police certificate was marked as required. When we went to the window again to be interviewed, I asked the consular officer why it was required if the packet 3 instructions did not list it as a requirement. He agreed that it was not required but wanted proof that my fiancee had only stayed in the other country for only 11 months...

We noticed (since you can sometimes hear other people being interviewed) that if the beneficiary was there by themselves the first question was "Where is your fiance(e)?" and there seemed to be more questions about the relationship. I was surprised when the consular officer sworn us both in and interviewed us.

No cell phones are allowed in the embassy. You have to dr... read complete review

My fiancée arrived 10 minutes Before the suggested time of 7:30am, 1/2 hour before they open the building. There was already a line, and it was raining. Demonstrating compassion not normally observed in Government workers, the
Embassy opened the doors early and allowed the line to come in out of the rain. The process within was typical of a government run facility. Take a number, wait for your number to be called, proceed to ( ) window, surrender [ ] documents, please sit back down and wait to be called again, etc...
After a couple of laps around the interior 'window shopping', it was my fiancée's turn for the interview. She was given the option of being interviewed in English or Korean. The Consulate interviewer was an American born Korean, and so spoke both languages fluently. My fiancée chose English, and just a few questions later, she was done. The Second (2nd) folder of additional relationship evidence was neither needed or accepted. Perhaps having it w... read complete review
