Can anyone share what their wait time was from interview approval to receipt of passports, also from online status change to "issued / printed" to DHL delivery.
My interview and approval was on 21 Feb 2017, and it now 3 March, the online status shows "Issued" date of 1 March, but still no word from DHL.

I had my K1 visa interview at the JHB consulate and had a pretty good experience. The wait was quite long even thought there weren't many people, but I figure this is because the officers were being very thorough and really analyzing the relevant documentation. I was asked for:
birth certificates, PCCs (originals only), I-134 and petitioners tax return, proof of relationship.
Here's the one thing: They only accepted cash! I had to run across the road to Sandton City and draw about R4000 to pay for the application!
I returned, paid the cashier, and sat in line to wait a little longer. I was eventually called up to speak to a lovely woman who asked meow I met my fiancé, how often we'd visited one another, what I plan to do in the US, if any of my side of the family will be with us at the ceremony in the U.S. That was it, she said "everything is OK, you should have your passport back in 7-10 days." I almost fell over, I was so shocked! ... read complete review

Medical:
I called Dr. Hoosen for and appointment and was told that they now do the exam over 2 days, but NOT 2 consecutive days. The second day is 3 days after the first to allow them to view the x-ray and blood results.
I then call Dr. Brauer & Dr. N Sayed in Cape Town and they do it in one day, the exam, x-rays and blood work done on the day, and when they receive the results of the tests they courier the package to the Consulate.
My interview appointment is 21 February 2017 - I'm trying to get my medical done ASAP and request to be placed on a standby list in the even of a cancellation.

I appreciated the information in all the reviews, especially the ones describing the medical exams.
My document package was sent to the NVC on 18 October 2016, and the lawyers say that the wait for an interview notice in about 6 weeks from then.
My wife will be joining me.
We are in Port Elizabeth so would need to fly to JNB for the two day medical and then for the interview again.
For the medical, I was planning on a early flight getting me to JNB at 8:00, rent a car and then head off to Dr. Hoons practice for the X-ray and bloodwork paperwork, look for a reasonable price hotel, and the take a flight back to PE at 16:50.
Can someone advise the expected time line from sending the document package to the NVC, to getting an interview appointment date.
Thanks all.
