Interview date: 4th April 2017
My interview was scheduled 9.30am so i reached the place at around 9.15. There was quite a lot of people outside the embassy so I was asked to queue up as well. The lady assisting people along the queue asked me to move up front when i showed her I'm applying for k1 visa. It probably took me another 15 mins til they asked me come in and leave all the electronics devices in the security check point. There i walk inside and another lady checked my bag again.
Upon entering the consulate another person asked me what visa am I applying for and told her k1. She gave me a queue number and told me my number would be called in a while so I sat down first. I waited aroung 10mins probably and my number wad called.
Asian guy officer asked me the following:
My birth certificate
Police clearances (Singapore and Philippines)
ROM - Singapore marriage cert (I ordered it under my passport number so i had to ... read complete review

Out of all the documents brought to the interview, the only things they wanted to see was the police clearance and proof of domicile in the US.
They would not approve the visa during the interview because we did not have the apartment lease agreement in hand, i.e. proof of domicile in the US. They said email it to them and the visa would be approved. We received the lease agreement from the US the next day and emailed it to the embassy, and received the passport with the approved visa a few days later.

Just had an IR-1 interview in Singapore a few hours ago.
My appointment was at 10 am. I showed up at around 9.30, stood in line outside for 5 min or so and then entered the consulate. I quickly went through to the waiting room (after they checked my passport + photos and appointment letter).
I waited for what seemed like 30 min (hard to say exactly as i couldn't check the time on my phone). I was then invited to the window for the initial document check. They took my birth certificate and marriage certificate originals. The person asked some basic questions such as:
1. When did you get married?
2. Do you have children?
3. Were you or your husband preciously married?
2. What is you immigration status in Singapore (checked my EP).
3. Does your husband work in Singapore?
4. When are you planning on moving?
He asked for police certificates. That it unfortunately where it got disappointing. I had the ori... read complete review

My appointment was at 8:30am, and I arrived at the embassy on time. However, there is a queue right outside the embassy. The security guard will redirect you to a personnel who checks your documents and ask you to join one of the two queues. There is a sheltered area for the queue and no one can use their phones even though we are still outside the embassy.
Slowly, a few of us were allowed to queue outside the security door. One by one we enter to deposit our phone, do a bag check and a security check. They will give you a tag and you can make your way to the 'interview' area. Before that, there will be another quick bag check. Once entering the room, there will be a personnel there to see what you are there for and she will give you a queue number.
The K1 visa interviewees were given seats and there is only 1 booth dedicated to us. Other visa enquiries, goes to another long line but is served by 3 to 4 booths. Since everything is very open, everyone can... read complete review
