Everything went pretty smoothly. The officers there were courteous, and questions asked included how we met, what my husband (the beneficiary) does, whether he speaks English, and why we had two weddings (one in Russia, one in the U.S.). He did ask to see pictures. Other than that, no problems! The waiting is much worse than the actual interview part.

My fiancee indicated to me that her interview was very warm and cordial. The Consulate officer was very professional, yet engaged her in polite conversation. She was relieved and very happy when she left the Embassy. Her visa was approved and it arrived at her home in 3-4 days by DHL.

I was in Russia but did not attend the interview. The consular officer peered at my husband, who had the feeling this man was reading every thought in his head. The questions themselves were self-explanatory and the interview went fine and we got the visa.

The interview went very fast. Tatiana was surprised when she was told it was over.
