Quick and easy interview. Get in there to 7:30 am, as there will be a good length line of people waiting already. First, give your passport to a security officer to check and wait at the same point in line for the officer to return it to you.
Do not bring any electronic devices, watches included, as they will not be allowed for storage inside the Consulate.
Next, go to the little white door and in to the Consulate section of the Embassy. Your passport and interview appointment print out from ustraveldocs website will be checked again. Proceed to 2 security checks - first a nice lady and then an X-Ray machine with security men.
Get in line to one of 3 windows and give in your passport, interview appointment letter and any requested forms to the window. You then will be directed to the Immigration section of the consulate.
The wait is approximately 10-20 min there (there's a hall with comfortable chairs, toilet rooms and water fountain, no cl... read complete review

Fiers of all, please, leave all the electronic stuff (like headphones and charging devices ) and perfume at the home, because anything of these is not allowed to bring into the embassy building. You are able to drop off the phone at the entry post and take it back after the interview, but they take nothing except it.
Everything went really fast: they checked my docs, told me to go upstairs to the room 5, and there the working stuff asked me to give them the financial papers, medical results in the envelope, birth certificate, police certificate and the confirmation of ds-160, and the photos for visa. Then they took my fingerprints ( right there, there is no need to go downstairs, as I have read before )
After that they handled me the brochure about domestic violence and the text of the oath that I was telling the truth and told me to wait for a while.
They called me in 5 min, and I had to go in a little white room - Mr.Consulate off... read complete review

We arrived at approx 7:15 am for 8:00am appt and 8th in line. At the side door they security checked documents and passports. Because I was citizen, I was turned away and sent to Citizen entrance/waiting room. The waiting room does not open until 9am... But someone showed up arounf 8:30 with a metal detector wand and allowed me past the gate. Passed through thru metal detector into waiting room. Sat in the room until 9am when an attendant began working. I explained my problem and he said there was nothing he could do and suggested I wait out side for her. On exiting the room, I asked the same questions on the screener and she called a person named Sasha who met me outside the building. Again explained the issue and he returned with the to the Citizen waiting room and called to add me to the list. I then returned to wait in the original line using the password "i'm on the list" whenever they tried to redirect me to the citizen waiting room.
I made it passed the visa li... read complete review

The interview was a rather long and confusing process. The Embassy had me bouncing from window to window over several sections of the building. Overall a very confusing process. After getting my paperwork in order and having my finger prints taken, I had to wait for over four hours for my interview. The interviews are not conducted in a private room, so I could listen in on everyone else's interviews. When it was my turn, the embassy worker was very nice and I did not have any issues with the process. The interview itself was mostly standard questions and was less than fifteen minutes in my case (I suppose they had decided pre-interview and were just being formal). I was notified that I was approved and could expect my passport back in 3-5 days (it took 4).
