The interview took place at the US Embassy, Moscow. All my papers were in order, so submitting paperwork was quick and easy. The interview itself took 15 minutes at the most and was easy and fun, I wasn't even nervous. But there was a rather long queue, so, between submitting the paperwork and the interview itself, I had to wait for some time.
The consul who was interviewing me was an absolutely charming gentleman. He was smiling at me kindly the whole time and was extremely friendly and not intimidating at all. At first he addressed me in Russian, but after the formalities (oath, fingerprints, etc.) were over, he switched to English. He asked very few questions (about my English, about wedding date, about how I met my fiance). Then he said, "Congratulations, your visa is approved," and that was it. He didn't even look at the evidence of our relationship that I had with me, because my fiance had sent tons of it when he had submitted our I-129F petition.

The interview was scheduled at 9:15 am. But I came earlier though got inside. I was forwarded to a lady to give her all financial documents and my original ones, the fingerprints. She gave me a ticket and I've waited for ~20 min until got called for interview. It went out very well and easy. The council didn't ask for any proof but the story of how we met, how many times we've seen each other and proposal story. Then he said I was approved. The interview was done within 5-7 min. I was done by 10 am.

The interview was straight forward and only lasted about 5 minutes. The interviewer was very nice and professional. She told me that my English was very good. There was some other Russian ladies who didn't speak any English and I am sure there interview was longer as they may have had additional questions about how they communicate. I only waited an hour. The interview before me lasted 50 mins. She only asked me a few questions that she wanted clarified. The standard "how did you meet" and about his crazy ex who wrote the Moscow Embassy to stop us from getting married. After I explain everything she looked at me and said "your approved and congradulations. She said visa will arrive in 2-3 days and it did. I was very calm as I was very prepared for anything they may ask. Here I come America.

Security screening was hardest part, many people in line and they want you to move fast and expect you to have all your documents in order, etc. Olesya ended up having to leave her camera outside on the ground b/c no place to check electronics. After screening i think it helped a lot that we were together. we had to wait a half hour or more for the interview, but all was comfortable and everyone was very friendly and polite. Interview was very easy, probably due in large part to the fact that we showed up together (not required, but they did have both of us in for the interview, which was conducted in English in our case). I had been away from America for over a year and we travelled around Asia together so we we wouldn't have to spend time apart before Olesya could come home with me!
